The Cursed Palace also known as The Accursed Castle (Egyptian Arabic: القصر الملعون translit: ''Al Qasr Al Mal’oun'') is 1962 Egyptian horror film starring Salah Zulfikar, Mariam Fakhr Eddine and directed by Hassan Reda. Synopsis Fahmy, a rich and paralyzed man, asked the young lawyer, Hassan, to make his will for him. When Hassan returned to present the will to Fahmy and found that he had changed his mind due to the appearance of some signs of madness on his daughter, who was constantly saying that she had seen someone kill her father in the dark, Hassan, with the help of his colleague Fathi, tried to find the secret key. He was suspected of Negeya and the palace servant's marina. The ghosts and strange sounds in the night made the atmosphere very tense, and after several incidents things gradually became clear. Salah Zulfikar
Salah El Din Ahmed Mourad Zulfikar ( ar, صلاح ذو الفقار; ; 18 January 1926 – 22 December 1993) was an Egyptian actor and film producer. He started his career as a police officer in the Egyptian National Police, before becoming an actor in 1956. He is regarded as one of the most influential actors in the history of Egyptian film industry. Zulfikar had roles in more than hundred feature films in multiple genres during a 37-year career, mostly as the leading actor. In 1996, in the centenary of Egyptian cinema, ten of his films as an actor and five of his films as a producer were listed in the Top hundred Egyptian films of the 20th century. Salah Zulfikar was one of Egypt's heroes in its battle against the occupation while serving in the police. Mariam Fakhr Eddine
Mariam Mohamed Fakhr Eddine ( ar, مريم محمد فخر الدين , 8 September 1933 – 3 November 2014) was an Egyptian film and television actress, and was the second wife of prominent filmmaker Mahmoud Zulfikar (1914-1970). She was nicknamed the "Beauty of the Screen" ( arz, حسناء الشاشة). Before pursuing a career in acting, she won the title of Most Beautiful Face in a pageant organised by the French-language magazine ''Image''. She was discovered by director Mahmoud Zulfikar, her future husband. Mariam Fakhr Eddine's first film appearance was in the 1951 film '' A Night of Love'' and she went on to appear in the films such as ''Back Again'' (1957), '' Sleepless'' (1957), ''The Cursed Palace'' (1962), '' Soft Hands'' (1963) and ''Secret Visit'' (1981). Mahmoud el-Meliguy ( arz, محمود المليجي, ; 22 December 1910 – 6 June 1983) was an Egyptian screenwriter and an actor of film, theater, and television. He started his career playing minor roles, but achieved stardom in the late 1930s. A popular and award-winning actor, he has acted in hundreds of films and was famous for his evil, villain roles. Career El-Meliguy is the descendant of an Egyptian family that took its name from the Egyptian city of Melieg in Monufia Governorate. He breakthrough role came when Mohamed Abdel Wahab chose him to star in the film ''Lastu Mallak'' (''I'm Not an Angel''). He was paid 900 Egyptian pounds and quickly achieved stardom. Alwiya Gamil ( ar, علوية جميل) was an Egyptian actress of Lebanese origin whose real name was Elisabeth Khalil Majdalani. She was born in Lebanon on December 15, 1910 and immigrated with her parents to Egypt. Career Gamil began her career at the age of 15 when she joined Youssef Wahbi's performing group Ramesses in 1925. It is believed that Wahbi gave her the stage name. Gamil is known for her leading roles in ''Zeinab'' (1930), '' Victory of Youth'' (1941), '' Berlanti'' (1944), and ''No Agreement'' (1961) ''The Cursed Palace'' (1962). She retired in 1967.
