''The Crowd Goes Wild'' is a sports entertainment show broadcast on New Zealand nationwide television channel Sky Open. The show premiered on Monday 26 June 2006. Created by former ''SportsCafe'' host and veteran journalist Ric Salizzo (who had served as executive producer and occasional presenter), ''The Crowd Goes Wild'' is presented by Andrew Mulligan (also one of the home team commentators for New Zealand Breakers), Storm Purvis, Taylor Curtis, Wairangi Koopu and Brook Ruscoe with producer Ra Pomare. The programme covers the sporting events of the moment in a lighthearted format and is broadcast live from the studios of Sky Television, combined with pre-recorded field items and clips. Storm Purvis
Storm Purvis (born 20 April 1993) is a New Zealand netball player who plays for the Silver Ferns internationally, and for the Northern Stars in the ANZ Premiership. She plays in the GD and GK positions. Purvis started her netball career playing for Auckland Waitakere, and was a Northern Mystics training partner in 2011 before moving to Dunedin and picking up a contract with the Steel in 2012. She was selected into the NZ U21 team in 2010, and was named captain in 2012. During the series she was played in the unfamiliar position of WD at times. Purvis made her ANZ Championship debut in the first game of 2012, coming on in the last quarter against Silver Ferns stalwart Irene Van Dyk, and picking off a vital intercept which led to the Steel's shock win against the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic. Sky Sport is a group of sports-oriented television channels operated by New Zealand's satellite pay-TV company, Sky. History Sky Sport 1 is the original Sky Television sport channel in New Zealand. It was first introduced in 1990 as Sky Sport on the Sky UHF service. The New Zealand national netball team, commonly known as the Silver Ferns, represent New Zealand in international netball. The team take their nickname from the Silver Tree Fern (''Cyathea dealbata''), which is an emblem for many New Zealand sports teams. Mark Hunter Richardson (born 11 June 1971) is a former New Zealand cricketer. He was a left-handed opening batsman. He represented New Zealand in 38 Tests from 2000 to 2004. Josh Kronfeld
Joshua Adrian Kronfeld (born 20 June 1971) is a TV presenter and a former rugby union footballer who represented New Zealand at international level and Otago, the Highlanders and Leicester at first-class level. During his international career, Kronfeld played in 56 games for the All Blacks, gaining 54 test caps, including appearances at both the 1995 and 1999 Rugby World Cups. Kronfeld played as an openside flanker, and his greatest attribute was considered to be the speed with which he was able to get to breakdowns in play, in order to gain or regain possession of the ball. The New Zealand Breakers (also known as the Sky Sport Breakers for sponsorship reasons) are a New Zealand professional basketball team based in Auckland. The Breakers compete in the National Basketball League (NBL) and play their home games at multiple venues, mainly Spark Arena.
