The Crocodile Hunter Diaries
''The Crocodile Hunter Diaries'' is a wildlife documentary television series first aired on cable TV channel Animal Planet. It was created as a spin-off to the original ''The Crocodile Hunter'' series hosted by Australian naturalist Steve Irwin and his wife Terri Irwin. In the UK it was aired on ITV. In Australia it was aired on Network Ten. The show is more focused around the everyday lives of Steve, Terri, and the employees of Australia Zoo. The first season (filmed in 1998 and aired in 2002) covered, among other things, Terri's pregnancy with her and Steve's first child Bindi, medical problems with Steve's dog Sui, the construction of the Crocoseum, daily ups and downs experienced by zoo staff on the job and animal rescue adventures. Steve Irwin
Stephen Robert Irwin (22 February 19624 September 2006), known as "The Crocodile Hunter", was an Australian zookeeper, conservationist, television personality, wildlife educator, and environmentalist. Irwin grew up around crocodiles and other reptiles and was educated regarding them by his father Bob. He achieved international fame from the television series ''The Crocodile Hunter'' (1996–2007), an internationally broadcast wildlife documentary series that he co-hosted with his wife Terri. The couple also hosted the series ''Croc Files'' (1999–2001), ''The Crocodile Hunter Diaries'' (2002–2006), and ''New Breed Vets'' (2005). They also co-owned and operated Australia Zoo, founded by Irwin's parents in Beerwah, about north of the Queensland state capital of Brisbane. They had two children, Bindi and Robert.
