Factual television is a genre of non-fiction television programming that documents actual events and people. These types of programs are also described as observational documentary, fly on the wall, docudrama, and reality television. Ice Road Truckers
''Ice Road Truckers'' (commercially abbreviated ''IRT'') is a reality television series that premiered on History Channel, on June 17, 2007. It features the activities of drivers who operate trucks on seasonal routes crossing frozen lakes and rivers, in remote Arctic territories in Canada and Alaska. Seasons three to six also featured Alaska's improved but still remote Dalton Highway, which is mainly snow-covered solid ground. The newest seasons are mainly focused on Manitoba's winter roads. The series' 11th season finished airing on November 9, 2017. ''Monster Moves'' is a British documentary television series which began airing in 2005. A total 31 episodes have been produced across 6 seasons so far. Format Each episode follows the high risk jobs of moving teams on their journeys to relocate houses, ships, trains and even whole towns across land and sea. Before the starting credits a short summary of the task to be accomplished is shown. Following these credits, the move team leader is introduced and they explain the various possibilities for moving the structure. Computer generated imagery showcases the possibility of things to go wrong with each of the possible scenarios. The rest of the episode follows the move team as they move the structure by their chosen method of transportation. Barbara Hepworth
Dame Jocelyn Barbara Hepworth (10 January 1903 – 20 May 1975) was an English artist and sculptor. Her work exemplifies Modernism and in particular modern sculpture. Along with artists such as Ben Nicholson and Naum Gabo, Hepworth was a leading figure in the colony of artists who resided in St Ives during the Second World War. Born in Wakefield, Yorkshire, Hepworth studied at Leeds School of Art and the Royal College of Art in the 1920s. She married the sculptor John Skeaping in 1925. In 1931 she fell in love with the painter Ben Nicholson, and in 1933 divorced Skeaping. At this time she was part of a circle of modern artists centred on Hampstead, London, and was one of the founders of the art movement Unit One. Alan Gordon Partridge is a comedy character portrayed by the English actor Steve Coogan.
