Anita Hendrie
Anita Hendrie ( – April 15, 1940) was an American actress. She appeared in 67 silent motion pictures between 1908 and 1912, in addition to working in stock theater and vaudeville. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of William Scott Hendrie and M. Louise Morton. Her father was a surgeon. Her grandfathers were John Martin, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, and painter Benjamin West. In about 1902, she and actor/director David Miles were married, which they remained until his death. Hendrie acted with the stock company at Forepaugh's theater in Cincinnati before moving to Salt Lake City in 1907 to perform there. In 1899, she performed in vaudeville. Hendrie died at her home in Brooklyn at age 72 on April 15, 1940. She is interred at Milford, Connecticut. Dorothy West (actress)
Dorothy West (August 29, 1891 – December 11, 1980) was an American stage and film actress and radio performer. Early life She grew up in Huntsville, Alabama. Career West was a star in Biograph silent films in New York. She later relocated to Hollywood with a group of D.W. Griffith stars that included Mary Pickford, Marion Leonard, Florence Barker, and Mack Sennett in 1909. West, Pickford, Pickford's brother Jack, and Effie Johnson boarded together. She joined a stock theatre company in Mount Vernon, Illinois; then joined the Pitt Stock Players in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and in also performed in theatre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. West returned to film several years later. West received positive notice for her work in Griffith's '' His Mother's Scarf'' (1911) '' Swords and Hearts'' (1911) and ''The Eternal Grind'' (1916). Harry Solter
Henry Lewis "Harry" Solter (November 19, 1873 – March 2, 1920) was an American silent film actor, screenwriter and director. Career Solter began his career as an actor in 1908 with Biograph Studios. That same year he met actress Florence Lawrence while making the film ''Romeo and Juliet'' for Vitagraph Studios and married on August 30 of that year. In 1909, Solter began working for Carl Laemmle's Independent Moving Pictures Co. of America (IMP) as an actor but also as a director. Over the next nine years, he directed 148 silent films. In 1912, Harry Solter and his wife established the Victor Studios in Fort Lee, New Jersey. In 1913, they sold out to Carl Laemmle whose amalgamation of several studios created the colossal Universal Film Manufacturing Co. Solter continued to direct for the new company until 1918 when health problems emerged. With this new prosperity, Florence was able to realize a 'lifelong dream,' buying a estate in River Vale, New Jersey.

Mack Sennett
Mack Sennett (born Michael Sinnott; January 17, 1880 – November 5, 1960) was a Canadian-American film actor, director, and producer, and studio head, known as the 'King of Comedy'. Born in Danville, Quebec, in 1880, he started in films in the Biograph Company of New York City, and later opened Keystone Studios in Edendale, California in 1912. Keystone possessed the first fully enclosed film stage, and Sennett became famous as the originator of slapstick routines such as pie-throwing and car-chases, as seen in the Keystone Cops films. He also produced short features that displayed his Bathing Beauties, many of whom went on to develop successful acting careers. Sennett's work in sound movies was less successful, and he was bankrupted in 1933. In 1938 he was presented with an honorary Academy Award for his contribution to film comedy. David Miles (c. 1871 – October 28, 1915) was an American actor and director. Born in Milford, Connecticut, he became a Hollywood actor, and he later owned David Miles, Inc., "a motion picture manufacturing company" based in Los Angeles, California.
