The Controllers
The Controllers are a fictional extraterrestrial race existing in the DC Universe. They first appear in '' Adventure Comics'' #357 (June 1967), and were created by Jim Shooter, Mort Weisinger, and Curt Swan. Fictional character biography Pre-Crisis In their initial appearance, the Controllers came from "another space-time continuum". Their universe had almost been destroyed by war, and they were determined to prevent the Earth-One universe from going the same way. They used their mind-control abilities to prevent intergalactic war, but also had powerful weapons, including the Sun-Eater. This concluded with " The Death of Ferro Lad" story where Ferro Lad dies destroying the Sun Eater. The Legion's long-time enemy Time Trapper was revealed to be a renegade Controller. Maltusians The Controllers' origins were changed during the ''Crisis on Infinite Earths'' events. They were now originally part of a race of immortals called the Maltusians. Green Lantern (comic Book)
''Green Lantern'' is an ongoing American comic-book series featuring the DC Comics heroes of the Green Lantern, same name. The character's first incarnation, Alan Scott, appeared in ''All-American Comics'' #16 (July 1940), and was later spun off into the first volume of ''Green Lantern'' in 1941. After 38 issues, that series was cancelled in 1949. When the Silver Age Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, was introduced, the character starred in a new volume of ''Green Lantern'' starting in 1960. Although ''Green Lantern'' is considered a mainstay in the DC Comics stable, the series has been cancelled and rebooted several times. The first series featuring Hal Jordan was cancelled at issue #224, but was restarted with a third volume and a new #1 issue in June 1990. When sales began slipping in the early 1990s, DC Comics instituted a controversial editorial mandate that turned Jordan into the supervillain Parallax (comics), Parallax and created a new protagonist named Kyle Rayner. Darkstars
The first Darkstars were a group of intergalactic policemen that appeared in comic books published by DC Comics. They were introduced in ''Darkstars'' #1 (October 1992 in comics, 1992), and were created by Michael Jan Friedman and Larry Stroman. The series lasted a total of 39 issues, ending with issue #38 (Jan. 1996 in comics, 1996), with an issue #0 (Oct. 1994) published between issues #24 and 25 during the ''Zero Hour (comics), Zero Hour'' crossover event storyline. David Lodge (voice Actor)
David William Lodge is an American voice actor who works for anime as well as animation and the video game community and is known for his voice work in the ''Power Rangers'' franchise. Two of his best-known voice roles there were as Villamax in ''Power Rangers Lost Galaxy'' and Loki in ''Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue''. Legion Of Super-Heroes (TV Series)
''Legion of Super Heroes'' is an American animated television series produced by Warner Bros. Animation, adapted from the DC Comics series of the same name. It debuted on September 23, 2006, and centers on a young Superman's adventures in the 31st century, fighting alongside the eponymous group of superheroes. The show was produced by one of its main character designers James Tucker, a co-producer of the ''Justice League Unlimited'' series, for the Kids' WB line on The CW network. The series drew on the rich history of the Legion of Super-Heroes, taking inspiration from stories set during all time periods of the team's nearly 50-year history in comics. Continuity is internally consistent but is not shared with any previous incarnation of the Legion, either animated or in print. It also had its own tie-in spin-off comic book series that lasted 20 issues. The series was cancelled after its second season.
