''The Continuum Project'' is the fourth studio album by Canadian country music artist Lindsay Ell. Released on May 25, 2018, by Stoney Creek Records, the album was co-produced by Ell and Kristian Bush. The album is a track-by-track cover of John Mayer's 2006 album, ''Continuum''. Recorded as a "homework" assignment before working on her debut label-supported album, '' The Project'' (2017), the record was released due to fan demand. Critical reception Writing for '' Forbes'', Brittany Hodak wrote that ''The Continuum Project'' is a "creative, nuanced and refreshing take on 'Continuum'' with several standout performances both musically and vocally." Lindsay Ell
Lindsay Elizabeth Ell (born 20 March 1989) is a Canadian-American country pop singer, songwriter, guitarist and television personality from Calgary, Alberta. Her music incorporates elements of rock and blues. She was signed to the US record label Stoney Creek Records, an imprint of Broken Bow Records. Her debut extended play, '' Worth the Wait'', was released in March 2017. Her first full-length country album, '' The Project'', was released in August 2017 and debuted at No. 1 on the ''Billboard'' Country Album Sales chart. Charlie Hunter (born May 23, 1967) is an American guitarist, composer, and bandleader. First coming to prominence in the early 1990s, Hunter plays custom-made seven- and eight-string guitars on which he simultaneously plays bass lines, chords, and melodies. Critic Sean Westergaard described Hunter's technique as "mind-boggling...he's an agile improviser with an ear for great tone, and always has excellent players alongside him in order to make great music, not to show off." "Bold as Love" is the title track of '' Axis: Bold as Love'', the second album by the Jimi Hendrix Experience. The song, which closes the album, was written by Jimi Hendrix and produced by band manager Chas Chandler. Recording and production The Jimi Hendrix Experience began work on "Bold as Love" in October 1967 at London's Olympic Sound Studios, recording a number of instrumental backing tracks in an initial session dedicated to the song on October 4. Hendrix, Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell also spent the following day's session focused on the track, recording over 20 different takes and four different endings throughout the day before eventually settling on a combination of takes 21 and 27 for the master recording. Giuseppe Henry "Pino" Palladino (born 17 October 1957) is a Welsh musician, songwriter, and record producer. A prolific session bassist, he has played bass for acts such as The Who, the John Mayer Trio, Nine Inch Nails, Gary Numan, Jeff Beck and D'Angelo. Early life The son of a Welsh mother and Italian father (from Campobasso), Giuseppe Henry Palladino was born in Cardiff on 17 October 1957. He attended a Catholic school. Steve Jordan (born January 14, 1957) is an American musical director, producer, songwriter, and musician. During the 1970s and 1980s, he was a member of the bands for the television shows ''Saturday Night Live'' and ''Late Night with David Letterman''. In the early 1980s, Jordan was a member of the band " Eye Witness", along with Anthony Jackson on bass, and Manolo Badrena on percussion. Since the mid 1980s, Jordan has also been a member of the X-Pensive Winos, the side project of Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards.
