"The Colour of My Dreams" is a song recorded by American rapper and Eurodance artist B.G., the Prince of Rap, released in April 1994 as the second single from his second album, '' The Time Is Now'' (1994). Becoming his most successful song, it charted within the top 20 in Finland and Germany, peaking at number 17 and 13. On the Eurochart Hot 100, it reached number 72 in July 1994. Outside Europe, the single peaked at number-one on the Canadian ''RPM'' Dance/Urban chart and number ten in Israel. The female singer on the song is Paris Red. Critical reception Pan-European magazine ''Music & Media'' wrote, "Although the overall feeling here is mellow with some ambient influences shining through, B.G.'s latest is still very much a dancefloor killer. VIVA (German TV Channel)
VIVA (abbreviation for: translating to "Video Exploitation Facility") was a German free-to-air music television channel, first broadcast on 1 December 1993. The channel was intended to compete against MTV Europe and was the first German-language music TV channel, while MTV was only broadcast in English until the introduction of MTV Germany in 1997. It was also supposed to focus more on German music and pop culture while MTV only broadcast anglophone music by artists mostly from North America, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia. After years of competition for audience share, MTV Networks Europe eventually acquired VIVA on 14 January 2005 after it had outrun its own efforts for better ratings. The GfK Entertainment charts are the official music charts in Germany and are gathered and published by GfK Entertainment (formerly Media Control and Media Control GfK International), a subsidiary of GfK, on behalf of Bundesverband Musikindustrie. GfK Entertainment is the provider of weekly Top 100 single and album charts, as well as various other chart formats for genres like compilations, jazz, classical music, schlager, hip hop, dance, comedy, and music videos. Following a lawsuit in March 2014 by Media Control AG, Media Control® GfK International had to change its name. The Dutch Top 40 ( nl, Nederlandse Top 40) is a weekly music chart compiled by ''Stichting Nederlandse Top 40''. It started as a radio program titled "Veronica Top 40", on the offshore station Radio Veronica in 1965. It remained "The Veronica Top 40" until 1974, when the station was forced to stop broadcasting. The European Dance Radio Chart (also known as European Dance Radio Top 25) was a weekly chart compiled by pan-European magazine ''Music & Media''.
