''The Collection 1982–1988'' is a French-language compilation album by Canadian singer Celine Dion, released in Europe in 1997. It features twenty-eight rare songs recorded between 1982 and 1988 on a two- CD set. Previously these songs were released on separate albums: '' Gold Vol. 1'' (1995) and '' C'est pour vivre'' (1997). The album was issued under many different titles, with many different covers, and by various music labels. It charted in European countries reaching number eleven in Denmark, number twenty in Belgium Wallonia, number twenty-seven in Sweden and number thirty-seven in the Netherlands. Andy Hill (composer)
Andrew Gerard Hill (born 1957 in Bracknell, Berkshire, England) is an English record producer and songwriter who worked with Bucks Fizz and Celine Dion during the 1980s and 1990s. On many of his compositions he was partnered by lyricist Peter Sinfield, who had formerly worked with King Crimson. He has been nominated for an Ivor Novello Award on seven occasions, and has won the award twice in the category "Best Song Musically and Lyrically" and once for "Songwriter of the Year". He also composed the winning song in the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest. Career Hill experienced his earliest success when he co-wrote and produced the UK's winning 1981 Eurovision Song Contest entry for Bucks Fizz, "Making Your Mind Up". Peter John Sinfield (born 27 December 1943) is an English poet and songwriter. He is best known as the co-founder and former lyricist of King Crimson, whose debut album ''In the Court of the Crimson King'' is considered one of the first and most influential progressive rock albums ever released. Sinfield's lyrics are known for their surreal imagery, often involving common fantasy concepts, nature, or the sea. They often also deal with emotional concepts and, sometimes, storyline concepts. Hubert Giraud (composer)
Hubert Yves Adrian Giraud (3 March 1920 – 16 January 2016) was a French composer and lyricist. Career Giraud began his career playing the harmonica with Django Reinhardt's jazz group, the Quintette du Hot Club de France. In 1941, he was recruited by Ray Ventura to play the guitar during Ventura's big-band tour of South America. Six years later, he joined Jacques Hélian's orchestra in scoring a series of post-war romantic comedy films, including Georges Combert's 1951 feature, ''Musique en tête''. His song "Dors, mon amour", performed by André Claveau, won the Eurovision Song Contest 1958. Giraud (with lyricist Pierre Cour) wrote the song "Gitans" ( "Les Gitans"). André Charles Jean Popp (19 February 1924 – 10 May 2014) was a French composer, arranger and screenwriter. Biography Popp was born into a family of German-Dutch background, in Fontenay-le-Comte, Vendée. He started his career as a church organist, filling the place of the abbot who had been called up to serve in World War II in 1939. Popp studied music at the Saint Joseph Institute. In the 1950s he worked for the French radio station RTF, composing music for the ''Club d'Essai'' and, from 1953 to 1960, ''La Bride sur le cou''. Nella Martinetti (21 January 1946 – 29 July 2011) was a Swiss singer-songwriter, affectionately nicknamed "Bella Nella". She was born in Brissago, Ticino, Switzerland.
