The Collection (Atomic Kitten Album)
''The Collection'' is the second compilation album by English girl group Atomic Kitten. It was released by EMI Records on 2 May 2005 to coincide with the group's temporary reunion on their single "Cradle." The album consists of singles, B-sides and tracks from their first three albums '' Right Now'' (2000), '' Feels So Good'' (2002), and '' Ladies Night'' (2003). While it failed to chart, ''The Collection'' was certified Silver by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) in July 2013. Although she does not appear on the album cover and is not credited, Kerry Katona Kerry Jayne Elizabeth Katona (born 6 September 1980) is a British media personality and singer. She was a member of girl group Atomic Kitten from 1998 until her first departure in 2001 and again from 2012 until her second departure in 2017. ...'s vocals do appear on the album. Atomic Kitten
Atomic Kitten is an English girl group formed in Liverpool in 1998, whose current members are Liz McClarnon, Jenny Frost and Natasha Hamilton. The group was founded by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) members Andy McCluskey and Stuart Kershaw, who served as principal songwriters during Atomic Kitten's early years. The group's debut album '' Right Now'' was released in October 2000 and charted at number 39 in the United Kingdom. After five top ten singles, original member Kerry Katona quit – four weeks before "Whole Again" reached number one in the UK Singles Chart – and was replaced by former Precious singer Jenny Frost. Marvin Gaye
Marvin Pentz Gay Jr., who also spelled his surname as Gaye (April 2, 1939 – April 1, 1984), was an American singer and songwriter. Robert Berkeley Davis (born 1 October 1947) is an English guitarist and songwriter. Early career Davis received his first guitar when he was 11 years old and music became a central part of his life. In 1962, at the age of 15, he and Dave Mounts formed a band called The Apaches, with a Shadows sound. He and Mounts continued to work together in several bands, including the Barracudas and in 1964, formed the Remainder. He joined the Mourners who were looking for a lead guitarist and in 1966, changed their name to Mud. Mud Davis was a founding member of the successful late 1960s and 1970s glam rock band Mud. In addition to playing lead guitar, he wrote a number of the band’s songs. He wrote the band’s first single, “Flower Power” which was released in the October 1967 but did not garner much success. "It's OK!" is a song by British girl group Atomic Kitten for their second studio album, '' Feels So Good'' (2002). It was written by Norwegian musicians Hallgeir Rustan, Mikkel Storleer Eriksen and Tor Erik Hermansen and one out of several songs they produced for the trio under their production moniker Stargate. "It's OK!" features an instrumentation consisting essentially of acoustic guitars, soft drums, and synthesized strings. "Right Now" is the debut single of English girl group Atomic Kitten from their first album of the same name (2000). The song was re-recorded twice: once for the album's 2001 re-issue with new member Jenny Frost and again in 2004 for the group's ''Greatest Hits'' album. The 2004 version, titled "Right Now 2004", proved to be a greater international chart success.
