The Code (EP)
''The Code'' is the fifth extended play by the South Korean boy group Monsta X. It was released by Starship Entertainment and distributed by LOEN Entertainment on November 7, 2017. It consists of seven tracks, including the title track "Dramarama". Background and release In October, Monsta X had announced the comeback, through the official SNS channel, alongside the personal photos of intense colors and visuals. In the released image, the dreamy color and close-up of each member's face were included in the background, with some sensuous typography and part of the seven logos for each member, while subsequently released the story images for each member, ahead of their comeback. The group's comeback showcase was held at Jangchung Gymnasium in Jung District, Seoul on the same day of the comeback. The EP was released in two versions; ''DE:code'' and ''Protocol Terminal''. Monsta X (; stylized as MONSTA X) is a South Korean boy group formed through the reality survival program ''No.Mercy'' under Starship Entertainment. The group is currently composed of six members: Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney and I.M, with former member Wonho having left the group in October 2019. The group debuted on May 14, 2015 with their first EP ''Trespass''. In March 2017, Monsta X released their first studio album and the final part of ''The Clan'' series '' The Clan Pt. 2.5: The Final Chapter''. Since 2018, the group had four Japanese singles certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of Japan, and since 2019, eight of their Korean albums and extended plays had been certified platinum by the Korea Music Content Association.
