The Cliff (film)
''The Cliff'' ( es, Acantilado, links=no) is a 2016 Spanish thriller film directed by based on the novel ''El contenido del silencio'' by Lucía Etxebarria which stars Goya Toledo, Daniel Grao, Juana Acosta, Ingrid García-Jonsson, and Jon Kortajarena. Plot Attorney Gabriel goes to the Canary Islands to look for his sister, cult adept Cordelia, missing since a collective suicide took place in the cult. He is helped by Cordelia's friend Helena, coming across the criminal investigation of inspector Santana. Cast Production The film is a Lamia production, with the participation of TVE, ETB, Movistar+, Euskaltel and Gobierno de Navarra. Shooting locations included Navarre, Gipuzkoa, and Gran Canaria. Lucía Etxebarria
''Lucía'' is a 1968 Cuban black-and-white drama film directed by Humberto Solás, and written by Solás, Julio García Espinosa and Nelson Rodríguez. It was the winner of the Golden Prize and the Prix FIPRESCI at the 6th Moscow International Film Festival in 1969. The film is a period piece, told in three stories in different moments of Cuban history (the Cuban war of independence, the 1930s during the regime of Gerardo Machado and the 1960s), all as seen through the eyes of a different woman, each named Lucía. ''Lucia'' was digitally restored by the Cineteca di Bologna with funding from World Cinema Project and Turner Classic Movies and later screened at the Cannes Classics section of the 70th Cannes Film Festival in May 2017. The restoration also screened at the 55th New York Film Festival in the revivals section. Euskaltel, S.A. is a Spanish telecommunications company based in Derio, Basque Country. It was formed in 1995 in a joint effort by the Basque Government and several Basque saving banks. Its name is literally translated in English as "Basque-Tel". ''Fotogramas'' is Spanish digital and print film magazine which has been in circulation since 1946. It is one of the early film magazines in Spain. History Founded in Barcelona, it was first published on 15 November 1946 by Antonio Nadal-Rodó and María Fernanda Gañán. On 5 February 1951, the magazine awarded their first Placa de San Juan Bosco award to actor Jesús Tordesillas for his performance in 1950 film ''Pequeñeces''. In the 1970s the magazine was part of the Nadal Group. New categories were added over time to the award which were renamed Fotogramas de Plata and in 2012 they absorbed the TP de Oro awards. The Europa Press was a publishing house founded and run by the Irish surrealist poet George Reavey. The press was based in Paris from its inception in 1932 until 1935, when Reavey moved to London. It ceased operation in 1939. The Europa Press is important in the history of 20th century Irish poetry because it published early work by Reavey, Brian Coffey, Denis Devlin and Samuel Beckett and in a wider context of literary and surrealist history because it published the first ever collection of English-language versions of work by Paul Éluard.
