The Clash (rugby)
The Clash was an annual rugby union match hosted by Bath Rugby around Easter time each year. It is one of Bath's regular home matches in Premiership Rugby but it is moved from their usual home ground at the Recreation Ground in Bath (14,500 capacity) to the much larger Twickenham Stadium in London (82,000 seats). There are other high-profile matches in London between Premiership Rugby clubs at other times, particularly the London Double Header and the Big Game (also at Twickenham) and Saracens' European or Premiership games at Wembley Stadium, London Stadium and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Jonathan Byron Alexander Joseph (born 21 May 1991) is an English professional rugby union player who plays as a centre for Premiership Rugby club Bath Rugby. He played more than fifty games for England between 2012 and 2020. Early career Joseph began his rugby career at Derby RFC. He attended The Old Vicarage School, a preparatory school in Darley Abbey, before the family moved to Berkshire. His father is originally from Grenada and represented Northampton Saints in the 1980s. Jamie Huw Roberts (born 8 November 1986) is a former Welsh rugby union player, who most recently played for the Waratahs. His usual position is centre. Bristol Bears (officially Bristol Rugby Club or Bristol Rugby) are a professional rugby union club based in Bristol, England. They play in Premiership Rugby, England's top division of rugby. Wayne Barnes (born 20 April 1979) is an English international rugby union referee and barrister. He is a regular referee in the English Premiership, and has refereed games in the Heineken Cup and the European Challenge Cup. Samuel James Harrison (born 7 April 1990 in Leicester, England) is an English former rugby union footballer who played 178 games as a scrum-half for Leicester Tigers between 2008 and 2020. Rhys Priestland (born 9 January 1987) is a Welsh international rugby union player who plays as a fly-half for Cardiff Rugby and the Wales national team.
