Alan Barnes (writer)
Alan Barnes is a British writer and editor, mainly related to cult film and television. Biography Barnes is from Newcastle upon Tyne. He was the editor of ''Judge Dredd Megazine'' from 2001 until 2005. Among other strips, Barnes originally commissioned ''The Simping Detective''. He also wrote a handful of ''Judge Dredd'' stories involving alternate universes or featuring a young Dredd. He worked for five years at ''Doctor Who Magazine'' and progressed from writing strips to becoming joint editor in 1998 and sole editor from 2000 until 2002. He subsequently contributed the ongoing ''Fact of Fiction'' series of articles to the magazine. Barnes has written or co-written a number of ''Doctor Who'' audio plays for Big Finish Productions. Madame Vastra
Madame Vastra, Jenny Flint, and Strax (informally known as the Paternoster Gang, together with the Doctor), are a trio of recurring fictional characters in the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'', created by Steven Moffat and portrayed, respectively, by Neve McIntosh, Catrin Stewart, and Dan Starkey. The three characters first appear in the sixth series episode "A Good Man Goes to War." Madame Vastra (a Silurian) and Jenny Flint (a human) are a married couple. In later stories we see them living in London during the 19th century. Strax, a Sontaran, is seen in his first appearance to be acting as a nurse, caring for wounded soldiers on another planet. Kenneth Bentley is a British drama director who works primarily in audio and theatre. Justin Richards (born 14 September 1961) is a British writer. He has written science fiction and fantasy novels, including series set in Victorian or early-20th-century London, and also adventure stories set in the present day. He has written many spin-off novels, reference books and audio plays based on the long-running BBC science fiction television series '' Doctor Who'', and he is Creative Consultant for the BBC Books range of '' Doctor Who'' novels.
