The Chosen One (1982 Film)
''The Chosen One'' (russian: Избранные) is a 1982 Soviet drama film directed by Sergey Solovyev. Plot The film takes place during the Second World War. The film tells about a rich German baron who despises the Nazi ideology, but at the same time tries to maintain neutrality. At the end of the war he nails off to Colombia and conducts a dubious financial operation there. Sergei Alexandrovich Solovyov (russian: Серге́й Алекса́ндрович Соловьёв; 25 August 1944 – 13 December 2021) was a Soviet and Russian film director, producer, screenwriter, and actor. In 1993 he was awarded the People's Artist of Russia title. Biography Solovyov first experienced theatrical production as a child at the Theater of Youth Creativity (1957–1962), directed by Matvey Dubrovin. He studied at all-Soviet state Institute of Cinematography, worked in Leningrad TV and Mosfilm studio (1969–1987, film director, writer, producer). In 1975, he won the Silver Bear for Best Director at the 25th Berlin International Film Festival for his film '' One Hundred Days After Childhood''. Alfonso López Michelsen
Alfonso López Michelsen (30 June 1913 – 11 July 2007) was a Colombian politician and lawyer who served as the 24th President of Colombia from 1974 to 1978. He was nicknamed "El Pollo" (The Chicken), a popular Colombian idiom for people with precocious careers. Early years López was the son of former two-time president of Colombia, Alfonso López Pumarejo and his first wife María Michelsen Lombana. He was born and raised in Bogotá.
