The Cell (The Vampire Diaries)
"The Cell" is the ninth episode of the fifth season of the American series ''The Vampire Diaries'' and the series' 98th episode overall. "The Cell" was originally aired on December 5, 2013, on The CW. The episode was written by Melinda Hsu Taylor and directed by Chris Grismer. Plot Damon (Ian Somerhalder) is still locked up by Wes (Rick Cosnett) who wants him to be his next object of investigation since he has lost his last one. Elena (Nina Dobrev) worries that Damon did not show up and she goes to find Aaron (Shaun Sipos) in hope that he knows where Wes is. She finds him mourning about Jesse's (Kendrick Sampson) death and he tells Elena that everyone around him die, friends and family, including his last family member few months ago, his aunt Sara. The Colourist is an American rock band from Orange County, California, formed in 2009 by Adam Castilla, Maya Tuttle, Justin Wagner, and Kollin Johannsen. "Walkin' After Midnight" is a song written by Alan Block and Don Hecht and recorded by American country music artist Patsy Cline. The song was originally given to pop singer Kay Starr; however, her label rejected it. The song was left unused until Hecht rediscovered it when writing for Four Star Records. Originally Cline was not fond of "Walkin' After Midnight", but after making a compromise with her label she recorded it. However, the first released recording was by Lynn Howard with The Accents, released August 1956. In January 1957, Cline performed the song on an episode of the CBS television program ''Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts''. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental and behavioral disorder that can develop because of exposure to a traumatic event, such as sexual assault, warfare, traffic collisions, child abuse, domestic violence, or other threats on a person's life. Symptoms may include disturbing thoughts, feelings, or dreams related to the events, mental or physical distress to trauma-related cues, attempts to avoid trauma-related cues, alterations in the way a person thinks and feels, and an increase in the fight-or-flight response.
