''The Case of the Dangerous Robin'' is an American crime drama series that aired in syndication from October 1960 to July 1961. The series, which stars Rick Jason, was produced by Ziv Television Productions. Overview The series follows an insurance investigator, Robin Scott (Jason), who worked big cases for a ten percent finder's fee. The series also features Jean Blake Fleming as Phyllis Collier. The half-hour black-and-white episodes ran in syndication from 1960 to 1961. The series was the first to feature karate with Ed Parker as a technical adviser. Ed Parker
Edmund Kealoha Parker (March 19, 1931 – December 15, 1990) was an American martial artist, actor, senior grandmaster, and founder of American Kenpo Karate. Life Born in Hawaii, Parker began training in Judo at an early age and later studied boxing. During the 1940s, Parker was introduced to Kenpō by Frank Chow, who then introduced Parker to William Chow, a student of James Mitose. Parker trained with William Chow while serving in the Coast Guard and attending Brigham Young University, and in 1953 he was promoted to the rank of black belt. Parker, seeing that modern times posed new situations that were not addressed in Kenpo, adapted the art to make it more easily applicable to the streets of America. ''Combat!'' is an American television drama series that originally aired on ABC from 1962 until 1967. The exclamation point in ''Combat!'' was depicted on-screen as a stylized bayonet. The show covered the grim lives of a squad of American soldiers fighting the Germans in France during World War II. The first-season episode "A Day In June" shows D-Day as a flashback, hence the action occurs during and after June 1944.
