The Calcium Kid
''The Calcium Kid'' is a British mockumentary comedy film which was released in 2004. It stars Orlando Bloom as a milkman and amateur boxer. Billie Piper and Michael Peña are also featured. It is directed by Alex De Rakoff and produced by Working Title Films. Plot Jimmy Connelly is a milkman who is thrust into the spotlight after a brutal fighter, Pete Wright, gets injured. Under manager Herbie Bush, Jimmy must fight the middleweight champion of the world, Jose Mendez. Within the lead up to the fight with Mendez, Jimmy has to take part in a press conference, in which Bush recommends him to give Mendez fighting talk. However, this leads to Jimmy being seen as a fascist and a disgrace to England after being seen as racist. After Jimmy realises the harm Bush has caused, he calls off the fight. Natascha Wharton
Natascha Wharton (born 1965) is a British film producer and founder of Working Title Films#WT2 Productions, WT2 Productions, an independent film production company, and subsidiary of Working Title Films. Biography Wharton was born in Trinidad to a German mother and Trinidadian father. Prior to joining Working Title Films, Wharton served as an assistant to producer Eric Fellner, who would later co-own the company. She joined Working Title in 1993, serving as an assistant to Fellner and Working Title co-founder Tim Bevan. Wharton later became a development executive for the company and, in 1999, established Working Title's subsidiary Working Title Films#WT2 Productions, WT2 Productions as a production company that produced independent films. ''Empire'' is a British film magazine published monthly by Bauer Verlagsgruppe, Bauer Consumer Media. The first issue was published in May 1989. History David Hepworth of Emap, the publisher of British music magazines ''Q magazine, Q'' and ''Smash Hits'', among other titles, came up with the idea to publish a magazine similar to ''Q'', but for films. Rotten Tomatoes is an American review-aggregation website for film and television.
