The Bullet Within
''The Bullet Within'' is the third studio album by English progressive rock band Birdeatsbaby, released on 14 July 2014 through the band's own label, Dead Round Eyes. Production of the album was largely funded via the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. Background, promotion and release On 8 October 2013 the band released a music video for a new single, "Ghosts", on their official Youtube channel, directed by Matt Pulzer and Mishkin Fitzgerald. Having spent much of 2013 recording for ''The Bullet Within'' with producer Forbes Coleman at AudioBeach Studios in Brighton, the band could not afford to finish the process of mixing, mastering, promotion and distribution, and decided to set up a Kickstarter campaign in order to finish the album and go on another tour. The campaign was launched on 4 November that year, with an all-or-nothing goal of £10,000. Birdeatsbaby
Birdeatsbaby is an English progressive rock band from Brighton, United Kingdom, formed in 2008. At their start, the band's music was considered to be within the dark cabaret genre, but later began to incorporate aspects of heavy metal, klezmer and other musical styles. Their music is noted for its orchestral elements, complex rhythms and exotic instrumentation, with lyrics referencing themes such as religion, alienation, sexual orientation, obsession and animal rights. According to group members, their influences include Chopin, Mozart, Debussy, Queen, Muse and Nick Cave. Melora Creager
Melora Creager (born March 25, 1966) is an American cellist, singer-songwriter, performing artist and founder of the rock band Rasputina. Early life, beginnings and Rasputina Born in Kansas City, Missouri, and adopted by a graphic designer and physicist, Creager was raised in Emporia, Kansas. She started studying music at the age of 5, and at age 9 began playing the cello. As a child she was also a member of the Wichita Youth Symphony. Though she briefly quit playing in her teen years, after Creager moved to the east coast to attend Philadelphia College of Art and Parsons School of Design, she was convinced by friends to take it up again. In the late 1980s she played with the New York indie rock band Ultra Vivid Scene. ''The Hands of Orlac'' (German: ''Orlacs Hände'') is a 1924 Austrian silent horror film directed by Robert Wiene and starring Conrad Veidt, Alexandra Sorina and Fritz Kortner. It is based on the novel ''Les Mains d'Orlac'' by Maurice Renard. Plot Concert pianist Paul Orlac loses his hands in a horrible railway accident. His wife Yvonne pleads with a surgeon to try and save Orlac's hands. The surgeon transplants the hands of a recently executed murderer named Vasseur. When Orlac learns this, horror obsesses him. He is tortured by the presence of a knife he finds at his house, just like that used by Vasseur, and the desire to kill. Viva! is a British animal rights group, which focuses on promoting veganism. It was founded by Juliet Gellatley in 1994.
