''The Blues Don't Lie'' is a studio album by blues guitarist and singer Buddy Guy. It was released as a CD and as a two-disc LP on September 30, 2022. ''The Blues Don't Lie'' was produced by Tom Hambridge, who also co-wrote many of the songs, and plays drums as well. Mavis Staples, Bobby Rush (musician), Bobby Rush, Wendy Moten, Elvis Costello, James Taylor, and Jason Isbell are featured vocalists on one track each. ''The Blues Don't Lie'' was nominated for a 65th Annual Grammy Awards, Grammy award for Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album, Best Traditional Blues Album. Buddy Guy
George "Buddy" Guy (born July 30, 1936) is an American blues guitarist and singer. He is an exponent of Chicago blues who has influenced generations of guitarists including Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Beck, Gary Clark Jr. and John Mayer. In the 1960s, Guy played with Muddy Waters as a session guitarist at Chess Records and began a musical partnership with blues harp virtuoso Junior Wells. Guy has won eight Grammy Awards and a Lifetime Achievement Award, the National Medal of Arts, and the Kennedy Center Honors. Guy was ranked 23rd in ''Rolling Stone'' magazine's " 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time".
