Black Lace (band)
Black Lace are a British pop band, best known for novelty party records, including their biggest hit, "Agadoo". The band first came to the public eye after being selected to represent the UK in the 1979 Eurovision Song Contest, in which they finished seventh with the song "Mary Ann". With numerous line-up changes (the only original member being Colin Gibb), Black Lace went on to have success with novelty party anthems such as "Superman" and "Do the Conga". Today, Black Lace consists of two working bands: the full-time international band (officially known as The Original Black Lace) featuring original member Colin Gibb, who has taken the band around the world playing party shows throughout Europe, the Middle East, Australia, Canada and the US; and the UK based part-time band, featuring ex member Dene Michael. Pre-Black Lace (1973–1975) Terry Dobson and school friend Ian Howarth formed The Impact, as a five-piece pop group in 1969, with Alan Barton, Steve Scholey and Nigel ...

311 (album)
''311'' (commonly known as the ''Blue Album'') is the third studio album by American rock band 311, released on July 11, 1995 by Capricorn Records. The album contains the successful singles "Don't Stay Home", " All Mixed Up", and " Down", and was certified triple platinum with sales of over three million copies. Reception AllMusic's Peter Stepek was positive towards the album, saying "These riff-heavy and radio-ready songs are underscored by a tight drum sound (often with a piccolo snare), the scratching of turntables, and the crunch of heavy guitars: a formidable backdrop for this surprisingly melodic effort. The rhythms of reggae and ska percolate through this mix, and the harmonies of Nick Hexum and S.A. Martinez lend the band an edge not found in the majority of bands that feature rapping over rock beats." Rolling Stone says the album has "ear candy with good beats" and "remarkably adept at genre juggling". They also describe the album as " Beasties-cum-Chili Peppers traits ...

1967–1970
''1967–1970'', also known as the Blue Album, is a compilation album of songs by the English rock band the Beatles, spanning the years indicated in the title. A double LP, it was released with ''1962–1966'' (the "Red Album") in April 1973. ''1967–1970'' topped the ''Billboard'' albums chart in the United States and peaked at number 2 on the UK Albums Chart. It was re-released in September 1993 on CD, charting at number 4 in the United Kingdom. The album was instigated by Apple Records manager Allen Klein during his final months before being dismissed from that position. As with ''1962–1966'', the compilation was created by Apple and EMI/ Capitol Records in response to a bootleg collection titled ''Alpha Omega'', which had been sold on television the previous year. Print advertising for the two records made a point of declaring them "the only collection of the Beatles". The success of the two official double LP compilations inspired Capitol's repackaging of the Beach Bo ...

Weezer (Blue Album)
''Weezer'' (commonly known as the ''Blue Album'') is the debut studio album by American rock band Weezer, released on May 10, 1994, by DGC Records. It was produced by Ric Ocasek. Weezer formed in Los Angeles in 1992, and initially struggled to engage audiences, who were more interested in grunge. In November, they recorded a demo, ''The Kitchen Tape'', which brought them to the attention of DGC owner Geffen Records. Urged to choose a producer instead of self-producing, Weezer selected Ocasek for his work with the Cars. Most of the album was recorded at Electric Lady Studios in New York City between August and September 1993. The group treated the guitars and bass as a single, 10-string instrument, playing in unison. Guitarist Jason Cropper was fired during recording, as the band felt he was threatening their chemistry; he was replaced by Brian Bell. ''Weezer'' was supported by the singles "Undone – The Sweater Song", "Buddy Holly", and "Say It Ain't So", whose music videos be ...

The band never toured in support of it, and broke up four months after its release. ''Lukas Graham'' (also known as ''Blue Album'') is the second studio album by Danish band Lukas Graham. It was released in Denmark on 16 June 2015 through Copenhagen Records. The album includes the singles " Mama Said", "Strip No More" and " 7 Years". A version of the album incorporating "Drunk in the Morning" and "Better Than Yourself (Criminal Mind Pt 2)" from the band's debut (while removing "Hayo", the interlude and "Playtime") was released internationally on 1 April 2016, serving as the band's debut album in the United States and United Kingdom. Artwork The original Danish cover of the album takes its artwork from ''The Lady with the Bottles'', a 1992 painting by Danish artist Lars Helweg that is based on a nude picture of the Swedish actress Anita Ekberg that appeared in the magazine ''Playboy'' during the 1950s. The American cover was designed to be less risqué; it shows a boy looking at Helweg's painting, with his arm bent in a way that covers up the woman's breasts. Re ...
