The Block (season 5)
The fifth season of Australian reality television series '' The Block'', titled ''The Block 2012'', aired on the Nine Network. Both Scott Cam returned as host and Shelley Craft as "Challenge Master". John McGrath & Neale Whitaker returned as judges and introduced new judge Shaynna Blaze and guest judge Darren Palmer. The season premiered on Monday, 16 April 2012 at 7:00 pm. Like the previous season, this season was filmed in Melbourne, with the four houses to be renovated located in the inner-city suburb of South Melbourne at 401 Dorcas Street. At first, this season wasn't to air in New Zealand,https://www.facebook.com/PrimeTV/posts/10150944506974988 but has now been picked up by TV3 (the channel that broadcasts the New Zealand adaption of the program). Nine Network
The Nine Network (stylised 9Network, commonly known as Channel Nine or simply Nine) is an Australian commercial free-to-air television network. OzTAM
OzTAM is an Australian audience measurement research firm that collects and markets television ratings data. It is jointly owned by the Seven Network, the Nine Network and Network Ten, and is the official source of television ratings data for all metropolitan television in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth as well as subscription services (such as Foxtel) on a national basis. OzTAM was created in 1999 after the Seven and Ten Networks led a call for a re-tendering of the contract to provide audience ratings. Executives from both networks were concerned that the previous ratings service did not accurately reflect viewing levels for their channels. Andrew Johns
Andrew Gary Johns (born 19 May 1974) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s and 2000s. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest players in rugby league history. Johns captained the Newcastle Knights in the National Rugby League and participated in the team's only two premiership victories in 1997 and 2001, playing a club record 249 games for the Knights. David Dale Alexander (April 26, 1903 – March 2, 1979), nicknamed "Moose", was an American baseball player and manager.
