Blaze Media is an American conservative media company. It was founded in 2018 as a result of a merger between TheBlaze and CRTV LLC. The company's leadership consists of CEO Tyler Cardon and president Gaston Mooney. It is based in Irving, Texas, where it has studios and offices, as well as in Washington, D.C. TheBlaze was a pay television network founded by Glenn Beck. Originally, it was called Glenn Beck TV, created after Beck's departure from Fox in 2011. In 2012, the network took the name of Beck's popular website, TheBlaze. From 2014 to 2017, the company had four different CEOs, followed by Beck himself. KBAZ (96.3 FM, "The Blaze") is a commercial radio station in Hamilton, Montana, broadcasting to the Missoula, Montana, area. KBAZ airs a mainstream rock music format. History On November 27, 1968, the Bitter Root Broadcasting Company, owners of KLYQ (1240 AM) obtained a construction permit for a new FM radio station on 95.9 MHz in Hamilton. It began on February 11, 1969, and was used to extend the then-daytime station's service to the nighttime hours. By 1980, KLYQ-FM was programming an easy listening format separate from country music on the AM frequency. Stereo broadcasting began in late 1980, and by 1981 the station was airing adult contemporary music during daytime hours and Top 40 at night. KIBZ (104.1 FM, "104.1 The Blaze") is a Lincoln, Nebraska active rock music radio station. Studios are located on Cornhusker Highway in Northeast Lincoln, while its transmitter is located near Cortland. History 104.1 FM signed on in 1976 as KTAP, a local station targeting the Crete area, and originally on 103.9 FM. In 1986 the call letters changed to KBVB. In January 1989, after the station was sold to new owners, KBVB moved to 104.1 FM, relaunched as KKNB, "B104", and began airing a Top 40 (CHR) format, competing with KFRX. KKBZ (105.1 FM, "The Blaze") is an American radio station broadcasting a Mainstream rock format. Licensed to Auberry, California, the station serves the greater Fresno/Clovis area. The station is currently owned by Lotus Communications. Its studios are located just north of downtown Fresno. History The station was assigned call sign KXDR on July 12, 1990. The Blaze are the French Paris-based music and video duo Guillaume and Jonathan Alric. The duo are cousins and produce ambient EDM. Musical career Guillaume Alric and Jonathan Alric began making music together when Jonathan, who was at film school in Brussels, asked Guillaume to work with him on a music video soundtrack. As a duo they took the name The Blaze. They have explained that in addition to the strength and warmth suggested by the name, it means "name" in French slang. Their distinctive integrative method involves producing sound and visuals at the same time, creating an especially strong link between music and image.
