The Biz Never Sleeps
''The Biz Never Sleeps'' is the second studio album by Biz Markie. It was released on October 10, 1989, on Cold Chillin'/Warner Bros. Records and was produced by Biz, his cousin Cool V and producer Paul C, instead of Cold Chillin' in-house producer Marley Marl. The album proved to be a success, peaking at #66 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and #9 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, as well as producing his most famous song and biggest hit, "Just a Friend," which made it to #9 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and #5 on the Hot Rap Singles. The album was certified gold by the RIAA on April 24, 1990. "She's Not Just Another Woman (Monique)" samples 8th Day's song "She's Not Just Another Woman". A video for the track "Spring Again" was released in the spring of 1990. A 2006 Japanese issue includes song "A Thing Named Kim" as track 8. 3rd Bass
3rd Bass was an American hip hop group that was active in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Formed by MC Serch, Pete Nice, and DJ Richie Rich, the group was notable for being one of the first successful interracial hip hop acts. Along with Beastie Boys and producer Rick Rubin, both MC Serch and Pete Nice were one of the very few white hip hop artists who were widely respected in the community. The group dissolved in 1992 and again in 2000 and 2013 after short reunions. The group released two studio albums in their initial career and both of them were certified gold by the RIAA. 8th Day was an American Rhythm and blues, R&B musical ensemble, group from Detroit, Michigan. History The Holland–Dozier–Holland (HDH) songwriter, songwriting team had scored hit record, hits in 1970 with the group 100 Proof (Aged in Soul). When the latter's song "Somebody's Been Sleeping in My Bed" became a hit, radio stations also began playing the tune "She's Not Just Another Woman".
