''The Best of the Colbert Report'' is a single-disc DVD compiling memorable segments from ''The Colbert Reports List of The Colbert Report episodes (2005), 2005, List of The Colbert Report episodes (2006), 2006, and List of The Colbert Report episodes (2007), 2007 seasons. It was released by Comedy Central on November 6, 2007. A lightsaber is a fictional energy sword featured throughout the ''Star Wars'' franchise. In addition to its standard interviews, ''The Colbert Report'' features many recurring segments that cover a variety of topics. Alpha Dog of the Week Alpha Dog of the Week is a segment in which Colbert heaps praise on one specific news maker from the previous week for, as Colbert himself puts it, being "such an imposing presence that people automatically fall in place behind you, deferentially sniffing your butt."
