The Baseball Show
''The Baseball Show'' is a Major League Baseball talk show on ESPN Radio. It is heard every Sunday for three hours and thirty-five minutes from 4 p.m. ET to 7:35 p.m. ET during the Major League Baseball regular season. The program is hosted by '' GameNight'' personality Ryen Russillo (since 2007) and featured former New York Mets GM and former ''Baseball Tonight'' analyst Steve Phillips until his firing from ESPN. The show was previously hosted by Karl Ravech in 2005 and John Seibel in 2006. For affiliates carrying the '' Sunday Night Baseball'' game on radio, ''The Baseball Show'' goes on leading up to the games at 8 p.m. ET. Throughout the program, Russillo discusses some of the biggest stories in baseball and updates you on all of the happening around the league. They are often joined by either players or coaches following the games to get instant reaction. Steve Phillips
Stephen Francis Phillips (born May 18, 1963) is an American baseball analyst and former baseball executive. He served as the general manager of the New York Mets from 1997 through 2003. He worked as a baseball analyst for ESPN from 2005 until his dismissal in October 2009. He currently serves as an MLB analyst on TSN and TSN 1050 radio as well as the host of The Leadoff Spot on SiriusXM's MLB Network Radio. Early life Phillips was offered a football scholarship to Northwestern University after high school. He signed a letter of intent, but opted instead to sign a professional baseball contract after being drafted by the New York Mets. Orestes Destrade
Orestes Destrade Cucuas (born May 8, 1962) is a Cuban former professional baseball infielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Florida Marlins. Destrade also played in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Seibu Lions. He is now a broadcaster for the Tampa Bay Rays. He was nicknamed The Big O. Joe D'Ambrosio
Joe D'Ambrosio (born July 19, 1953 in Hartford, Connecticut) is an American sports broadcaster and play-by-play announcer. Career Known as “the Voice of the Huskies,” D'Ambrosio was the play-by-play announcer for the University of Connecticut’s football and men's basketball games on WTIC (AM) NewsTalk 1080www.wtic.com since 1992. He also broadcasts select UConn baseball, soccer, and women's basketball games. Daniel Shulman is a Canadian sportscaster with Sportsnet as well as the American network ESPN. Shulman serves as a play-by-play announcer for select Toronto Blue Jays telecasts on Sportsnet and during 2018 and 2020 he hosted the baseball-themed podcast, ''Swing and a Belt with Dan Shulman.'' ''Sunday Night Baseball'' is an exclusive weekly telecast of a Major League Baseball game that airs Sunday nights at 7:00 p.m. EDT on ESPN during the regular season. The games are preceded most weeks by the studio show ''Baseball Tonight: Sunday Night Countdown presented by Chevrolet'' prior to the first pitch. John Seibel (born 1970) is an American broadcaster. He is the former host of KDKA's afternoon drive show ''Seibel, Starkey and Miller'' in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 93.7 The Fan from 2-6 PM. New York Mets
The New York Mets are an American professional baseball team based in the New York City borough of Queens. The Mets compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member of the National League (NL) East division.
