The BP Super Show
The ''BP Super Show'' was an Australian television series of loosely scheduled TV specials often of the variety show genre (but not always), which aired from circa 1959 to circa 1970. The programs often featured international performers that were touring Australia. It originally aired on ATN-7 in Sydney and GTV-9 in Melbourne, with the production of episodes varying between the two stations, and it also aired on other stations across Australia (this was prior to the formation of the Seven Network and Nine Network). It aired on the Nine Network after the formation of that network. Given the varied nature of the episodes, critical reception varied, but was often very positive, with a 1961 episode with Ella Fitzgerald being called by ''The Age'' newspaper "one of the best shows of its type presented on Melbourne TV". The Seven Network (commonly known as Channel Seven or simply Seven) is a major Australian commercial free-to-air Television broadcasting in Australia, television network. It is owned by Seven West Media, Seven West Media Limited, and is one of five main free-to-air television networks in Australia. The network's headquarters are located in Sydney. The Young Americans
The Young Americans is a non-profit organization and performing group based in Southern California. First founded in 1962 by Milton C. Anderson, the group was credited with being the first show choir in America, mixing choreography with choral singing. While experiencing national television exposure early on, The Young Americans later taught music to students in the United States and other parts of the world as advocates of music education in their International Music Outreach Tours. The group has approximately 200 young people between the ages of 18 and 25 from nearly every US state and several other countries. Trinidad López III (May 15, 1937 – August 11, 2020) was an American singer, guitarist, and actor. Peter, Paul And Mary
Peter, Paul and Mary was an American folk group formed in New York City in 1961 during the American folk music revival phenomenon. The trio consisted of tenor Peter Yarrow, baritone Paul Stookey, and contralto Mary Travers. The group's repertoire included songs written by Yarrow and Stookey, early songs by Bob Dylan, and covers of other folk musicians. They were enormously successful in the early- and mid-1960s, with their debut album topping the charts for weeks, and helped popularize the folk music revival. Walter William Bygraves (16 October 1922 – 31 August 2012), best known by the stage name Max Bygraves (adopted in honour of Max Miller), was an English comedian, singer, actor and variety performer.
