The Art Of Loss
''The Art of Loss'' is the sixth studio album of Californian progressive metal band Redemption. This is the first album without guitarist and founding member Bernie Versailles, who is presently on an indefinite medical leave of absence from the band because he suffered an aneurysm in October 2014. To replace Versailles in the recordings, the guitarist and DGM member Simone Mularoni and former Megadeth guitar players Chris Poland, Chris Broderick and Marty Friedman were invited. Vocalist John Bush from Armored Saint also was guest to sing ''Love, Reign o'er Me'', a cover of The Who in duet with Ray Alder. The album was released on February 26, 2016 via Metal Blade Records and can be streamed in its entirety in the SoundCloud and Bandcamp pages of the band. Redemption is an American progressive metal band based in Los Angeles, currently signed to AFM Records. The band's current lineup includes members of several nationalities. Armored Saint
Armored Saint is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1982. Since 1990, the band has consisted of John Bush on lead vocals, Joey Vera on bass, Jeff Duncan (musician), Jeff Duncan on rhythm guitar and the Sandoval brothers (Gonzo and Phil) on drums and lead guitar, respectively. A Great Big World is an American musical duo from New York made up of singer/songwriters Ian Axel and Chad King and signed to Epic Records. The group is best known for their single "This Is the New Year", which was performed by the cast in an episode of ''Glee'' and reached the ''Billboard'' Mainstream Top 40 chart in May 2013, and their worldwide hit " Say Something", particularly after recording it as a duet collaboration with Christina Aguilera. Ray Alder (born Raymond Balderrama, August 20, 1967) is an American musician. He is the lead vocalist of the progressive metal band Fates Warning since their 1988 release ''No Exit''. "Love, Reign o'er Me", subtitled "Pete's Theme", is a song by English rock band The Who. Written and composed by guitarist Pete Townshend, it was released on 27 October 1973 as the second single from the band's sixth studio album and second rock opera, ''Quadrophenia.'' It is the final song on the album, and has been a concert staple for years. The song peaked at number 76 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and number 54 on ''Cash Box''. John Bush (musician)
John Bush (born August 24, 1963) is an American heavy metal singer and songwriter. He came to prominence in the 1980s as the lead singer and lyricist of Armored Saint, a heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California. In 1992, he joined thrash metal band Anthrax, with whom he remained until 2005 and briefly rejoined in 2009–2010. Bush has also been active with the reformed Armored Saint intermittently from 1999 to the present. Eduardo Rivadavia of AllMusic praised Bush's "remarkable voice" while authors Howie Abrams and Sacha Jenkins ranked him as the eighth-best vocalist in the genre.
