Arrow
An arrow is a fin-stabilized projectile launched by a bow. A typical arrow usually consists of a long, stiff, straight shaft with a weighty (and usually sharp and pointed) arrowhead attached to the front end, multiple fin-like stabilizers called fletchings mounted near the rear, and a slot at the rear end called a nock for engaging the bowstring. A container or bag carrying additional arrows for convenient reloading is called a quiver. The use of bows and arrows by humans predates recorded history and is common to most cultures. "The Movie" is the 54th episode of the sitcom ''Seinfeld''. It is the 14th episode of the fourth season, and first aired on January 6, 1993 on NBC. "Arrows" is a song by American indie rock artist Fences, pen name of singer Christopher Mansfield. The song features American hip hop duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. It was released on July 29, 2014, coinciding with Mansfield's announcement of the release of the debut Fences studio album ''Lesser Oceans'' on January 13, 2015. ''Candlebox'' is the debut album by Seattle rock band Candlebox. It contains their best known hit, " Far Behind", as well as the hit singles "Change", "You" and "Cover Me". Released in 1993, the album has since been certified 4× platinum in the United States. Promotion The music videos for "Change", "Far Behind" and "You" remained in longstanding rotation on MTV and the latter became two of the most requested videos of 1993, and the former being featured on ''Beavis and Butt-Head''. Other songs were recorded during the ''Candlebox'' sessions and included on other releases. "Can't Give In," for instance, appears on the ''Airheads'' film soundtrack. "Pull Away" also served as a B-side to the "You" CD single. Reception The album has received mixed reviews. Stonegard was a Norwegian heavy metal band from Oslo. They have two official releases in the form of full-length CDs, ''Arrows'' and ''From Dusk till Doom''. The band has been inactive since October 2008. History The band released their first CD ''Arrows'' on Candlelight Records in 2006. They received excellent reviews from national newspapers television and radio in Norway. When Stonegard was but one of many bands trying to make it, one of their means to promote themselves were through the Norwegian websitNRK Urørtwhich helps unsigned bands, singers and musicians. Their page was quite popular, and it helped them make a name for themselves. The Stonegard page is now taken down, as they are no longer an unsigned band. Davie Allan
Davie Allan is an American guitarist best known for his work on soundtracks to various teen and biker movies in the 1960s. Allan's backing band is almost always the Arrows (i.e., Davie Allan & the Arrows), although the Arrows have never had a stable lineup. Biography Allan grew up in the San Fernando Valley in Southern California, and learned to play guitar as a teenager. His career as a musician began when he teamed up with Mike Curb, a friend he met in the choir at Grant High School in Valley Glen, California, to form an instrumental surf combo. In 1963, Curb founded Curb Records, the first of many labels he would run, and released the first Davie Allan single, “War Path”. Allan participated in recording a number of other singles for Curb's label, under group names like the Sudells, the Heyburners, and the Zanies. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. The Arrows was a Canadian new wave band active during the 1980s (and not to be confused with the British band Arrows. Biography The Arrows were formed in 1981 by vocalist Dean McTaggart, the group's only consistent member. They recorded a single ("Treat Her Right" b/w "Come On Up") in 1981. The following year, the group issued a 4 song mini-album called ''Misunderstood'' which was recorded at Grant Avenue Studios and produced by Daniel Lanois. In 1984, the band landed a deal with A&M Records. With the help of producer David Tyson, who also became McTaggart's frequent writing partner, the Arrows' 1984 debut album ''Stand Back'' was a national success in Canada, providing a top 40 hit with "Meet Me in the Middle". The Arrow (previously known as Black Arrow) are a heavy metal band from Moscow, Russia. The band was founded in 1994 by Pavel Blischenko, the only member who has remained during the frequent line-up changes. The Arrow released a demo and three full-length albums: "Children of Gods", "Keeper of Souls" and "Lady Nite". The latter guested many famous vocalists: Hansi Kursch (Blind Guardian), Peter Wagner ( Rage), Artur Berkut (Aria), Andrey Fedorenko (Archontes) and guitarist Sergey Mavrin ( Mavrik).
