The Animation Station
The Sci-Fi Channel's Animation Station was a block of animation or puppetry-related television shows on the Sci Fi Channel (now Syfy). Some of the shows shown were ''Ronin Warriors'', '' Star Wars: Droids'', '' Star Wars: Ewoks'', ''Transformers'', ''Bionic Six'', and ''The New Adventures of Gigantor''. Broadcast in 1995 after being renamed from ''Cartoon Quest'', the programming was eventually dropped on August 29, 1997, due to low ratings. Thomas Vitale, senior vice president of the Sci Fi Channel (Syfy), also stated that ''The Animation Stations cancellation was the result of competition from other networks. ''Ronin Warriors'', known in Japan by its original title , is a Japanese anime series created by Hajime Yatate and animated by Bandai Namco Filmworks, Sunrise. The television series, co-produced by Nagoya Broadcasting Network, Nagoya TV, aired across Japan on the All-Nippon News Network from April 30, 1988, to March 4, 1989 for a total of 39 episodes. Ewoks
The Ewoks (singular: Ewok) are a fictional species of small, furry, mammaloid, bipeds in the ''Star Wars'' universe. ''The Transformers'' is an American animated television series that originally aired from September 17, 1984, to November 11, 1987, in syndication based upon Hasbro's ''Transformers'' toy line. Bionic Six
is a 1987 animated television series. It was produced by Universal Television and animated by Tokyo Movie Shinsha (now TMS Entertainment) and distributed, through first-run syndication, by MCA TV, years before the latter company became NBCUniversal Television Distribution. Renowned Japanese animation director Osamu Dezaki was involved as chief supervising director, and his distinctive style (as seen in ''Golgo 13'' and '' Cobra'') is evident throughout all its episodes. The title characters of the series are a family of machine-enhanced human beings each possessing unique powers after being augmented with bionic technology. Each family member is given specific bionic powers, and thus they form a superhero team called the Bionic Six. Cartoon Quest was the name of a block of mostly animated television shows that aired on the Sci Fi Channel starting in 1992. Similar to USA's '' Cartoon Express'', it featured reruns of various older cartoons interspersed with interstitial segments; in this case, focusing on a live-action family (all clad in loincloths) exploring a strange region. Gerald Alexander Anderson (; 14 April 1929 – 26 December 2012) was an English television and film producer, director, writer and occasional voice artist. He remains famous for his futuristic television programmes, especially his 1960s productions filmed with " Supermarionation" (marionette puppets containing electric moving parts).
