''The Ambassador of the Soviet Union'' (russian: Посол Советского Союза) is a 1969 Soviet drama film directed by Georgy Natanson. Plot The film tells about a woman named Yelena Koltsova, the prototype of which was Alexandra Kollontai (the first woman ambassador in world history). Georgy Natanson
Georgy Grigorievich Nathanson (russian: Гео́ргий Григо́рьевич Натансо́н; 23 May 1921 – 17 December 2017) was a Soviet and Russian theater and cinema director, screenwriter and playwright. Worked as director at Mosfilm. People's Artist of Russia (1994), winner of the USSR State Prize (1977). Biography Georgy Natanson was born on May 23, 1921 in Kazan. His mother was a singer, his father, Grigory Nathanson, was an economist and was killed in the army in 1941 at Yelnya. Since 1941 to 1943 he worked as an assistant director of the Central United Film Studio (CUFS) in Alma-Ata, which was also evacuated in a film studio Mosfilm the Great Patriotic War. In 1944 he graduated from the VGIK in the studio of Lev Kuleshov and Anna Khokhlova. Diploma work - ''The Storm'' for the film's story by O. Henry. Ada Lundver (9 February 1942 – 6 October 2011) was an Estonian film actress and media personality. She appeared in nearly thirty films. Life Lundver was born in Käina Parish (now, Hiiumaa Parish), on the island of Hiiumaa in 1942. She used to spend each summer on the island with her grandmother. In 1960 Lundver was working in a shoe factory in Tallinn. The following year, her life was transformed as she was acting with the State Philharmonic of the Estonian SSR. She was chosen from nearly 250 other applicants. She completed a course in pop singing before acting more. She and Eve Kivi became the most well known Estonian actresses. She made films in the 60s, and signed an agreement to make more films in 1969 - becoming the "German slut in Russian movies". She married Mikk Mikiver in 1971 and then made many more films.
