''The Alternative to Love'' is the third album by American singer-songwriter Brendan Benson, released in 2005. The song ''Cold Hands (Warm Heart)'' was featured on the ''Bones'' episode A Boy in the Tree and the Smallville episode "Exposed". The song "What I'm Looking For" was sampled on an iPod Touch commercial, as well as in the film ''Ghost Town''. This is the last solo album Benson released before beginning the project band The Raconteurs with fellow Detroit native Jack White of The White Stripes. The track "Flesh And Bone" was used in series one of the E4 drama '' Skins''. Brendan Benson (born November 14, 1970) is an American musician and singer-songwriter. He plays guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, and drums. He has released eight solo albums and is a member of the band The Raconteurs. Recording career ''One Mississippi'' Benson was born in Royal Oak, Michigan. His debut album, '' One Mississippi'', was released in 1996 on Virgin Records. The album, which features several contributions from Jason Falkner, failed to sell in sufficient numbers and Benson was subsequently dropped by Virgin. ''Lapalco'' In 2002, the follow-up to ''One Mississippi'' was released, '' Lapalco''. ''Bones'' is an American crime procedural comedy-drama television series created by Hart Hanson for Fox. It premiered on September 13, 2005, and concluded on March 28, 2017, airing for 246 episodes over 12 seasons. The show is based on forensic anthropology and forensic archaeology, with each episode focusing on a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) case file concerning the mystery behind human remains brought by FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) to Temperance "Bones" Brennan ( Emily Deschanel), a forensic anthropologist. The Raconteurs (, also known as The Saboteurs in Australia) is an American rock band from Detroit, Michigan, formed in 2005.
