The Affiliated High School of Sichuan University () is a public middle school for grades 7-12. It has two campuses, both of which are located in the Wuhou District, Chengdu, Sichuan, China. It is one of the top rated middle schools in Chengdu and it is listed as "Key School of Sichuan Province". History The Affiliated High School of Sichuan University was founded in 1908. After several name changes, it was renamed as "Chengdu No. 12 Middle School" in 1953. This name was deeply rooted in Chengdu. Till now, many local residents still refer the school as "No. 12 Middle School". In 2003, The School resumed its initial name, "The Affiliated High School of Sichuan University", after incorporating its neighbor, Chengdu No. 29 Middle School, which only offered 7-9 grades education at that time. Li Jieren
Li Jieren (; June 20, 1891 – December 24, 1962) was a Chinese writer and translator. A native of Chengdu, his works are celebrated for their local flavor and realistic portrayal of Sichuan during the late Qing period. Life Born Li Jiaxiang () in Chengdu to a family of humble means, he did not begin formal schooling until the age of 16. He graduated from the secondary school attached to the Sichuan Higher School (a predecessor of Sichuan University) in 1911 and published his first work of fiction in 1912. From 1919 to 1924 Li studied in France, first in Paris and then in Montpellier; he would later become the first to translate the works of French writers such as Guy de Maupassant, Alphonse Daudet, and Gustave Flaubert into Chinese. Wuhou District
Wuhou District () is one of 12 urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, Southwest China. It contains the historic site, Wuhou Temple and Jinli Street. The district is bordered by Jinjiang District to the east, Shuangliu County to the south and west, and Qingyang District to the north. Wuhou District is the largest of the five internal districts of Chengdu as well as being the wealthiest. It contains the areas of Yulin and Shuangnan which are considered to be the two areas of Chengdu with the highest living standards.
