The Advantage is an American rock band from Sacramento, California that formed in 1998 and specialises in doing covers of music from old NES games, also known as Nintendocore. The band is named after the Nintendo Entertainment System, NES joystick controller of the same name. History Founding drummer Spencer Seim first began playing video game music after going to a talent show in Nevada City, California, where he met a duo who played songs from game soundtracks.The Advantage biography Allmusic He then joined that group, but its two other members moved to Milwaukee soon after, so he founded The Advantage with three high school bandmates (Nick Rogers, Carson McWhirter, and Ben Milner) to continue playing video game music. Goonies II
is an adventure game developed and published by Konami for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It was released on in Japan, November 1987 in North America, and on in Europe. It is a sequel to a prior ''Goonies'' video game released on the Family Computer in Japan, which was only available in North America on Vs. System arcade units. Gameplay ''The Goonies II'' is considered an early example of a metroidvania game, with open level design similar to ''Metroid'' and ''Castlevania II''. The game features two modes of play: platform and first-person. Most of the game is played as the former as the player works through a non-linear map. The player moves Mikey to new areas of the map by ladders or doors that may act as warp zones. Several different types of zones are found in the game, each with distinct enemies, graphics and music. Double Dragon II
is a side-scrolling beat 'em up produced by TechnÅs Japan originally released as a coin-operated arcade game in 1988. It is the first sequel to '' Double Dragon'', released during the previous year. The sequel involves Billy and Jimmy Lee in a mission to avenge Billy's girlfriend Marian after she is shot to death by the Black Warriors leader Willy, who is retaliating against the Lee brothers after his defeat at the end of the previous game. ''Double Dragon II'' was initially developed as an upgrade kit for the original ''Double Dragon'', but evolved into a stand-alone game due to an increase in memory size, resulting in the developers reusing assets for both games. is an action-platform video game by Capcom for the Game Boy. It is the second game in the handheld version of the ''Mega Man'' series after '' Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge''. The game follows Mega Man as he pursues his arch-enemy Dr. Wily, whose most recent ploy for world domination involves the theft of an experimental time machine.
