''The Academy'' is a collaborative EP by Rich Music, Panamanian singer Sech and American singer Dalex featuring American-Puerto Rican singer Justin Quiles, Puerto Rican singer Lenny Tavárez and Colombian singer Feid, released on October 11, 2019, through Rich Music. The project was produced mainly by Dímelo Flow with producers Jowan, Pedro "SP" Polanco, Rike Mike, Simon, Swifft, Slow Mike, ICE and DVLP having production credits in some tracks. The EP also features collaborations with singers Wisin, Cazzu, De La Ghetto, Zion & Lennox and Mariah Angeliq. The album peaked at number 11 at the Top Latin Albums chart and was certified platinum in United States. Rich Music is an independent record label founded by entrepreneur Richard Mendez and his son, Joshua Mendez, in 2007. De La Ghetto
Rafael Castillo Torres, known professionally as De La Ghetto, is an American rapper, singer and songwriter, originally part of the duo Arcángel & De La Ghetto. His name is a reference to a 1990 episode of ''The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air''. Early life and career Rafael Castillo, Jr. was born in New York and moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico, at the age of eight. He is the son of a Dominican father and a Puerto Rican mother. Mariah Angelique Pérez (born August 7, 1999), known professionally as Mariah Angeliq, is an American singer. Early life Angeliq was born Mariah Angelique Pérez in Miami, Florida, to a Cuban father and Puerto Rican mother. She was named after Mariah Carey and Aaliyah.
