''The Abbot Constantine'' (French: ''L'abbé Constantin'') is a 1925 French silent comedy film directed by Julien Duvivier and starring Jean Coquelin, Pierre Stéphen and Claude France. It is based on the novel '' The Abbot Constantine'' by Ludovic Halévy. Julien Duvivier
Julien Duvivier (; 8 October 1896 – 29 October 1967) was a French film director and screenwriter. He was prominent in French cinema in the years 1930–1960. Amongst his most original films, chiefly notable are ''La Bandera (film), La Bandera'', ''Pépé le Moko'', ''Little World of Don Camillo'', ''Panic (1946 film), Panic (Panique)'', ''Voici le temps des assassins'' and '':fr:Marianne de ma jeunesse, Marianne de ma jeunesse''. Genevieve (french: link=no, Sainte Geneviève; la, Sancta Genovefa, Genoveva; 419/422 AD – 502/512 AD) is the patroness saint of Paris in the Catholic and Orthodox traditions. Roberto Pla (born February 13, 1947) is a Colombian percussionist and bandleader based in London, England. Primarily a ''timbalero'', he is best known for his contribution to the Latin music scene in the United Kingdom. He has toured with Carlos "Patato" Valdés, Alfredo Rodríguez and Adalberto Santiago, among others. Life and career Early life Roberto Pla was born in Barranquilla on Colombia's Northern Atlantic coast, a tropical area rich in music and folklore. As a boy, he studied percussion with Pompilio Rodriguez, at that time one of Colombia's greatest percussionists.
