The 411
The 411 are an English girl group comprising Carolyn Owlett, Tisha Martin and Tanya Boniface. Originally a four-piece with Suzie Furlonger, the group was formed in late 2002 after Martin and Boniface sang backing vocals on Lemar's version of Al Green's " Let's Stay Together". The 411 took its name from the Mary J. Blige album ''What's the 411?'' (1992). The group released one studio album, '' Between the Sheets'' and three top-forty singles before disbanding for the first time in 2005. The 411 was reformed in 2007 with a new name, Sunshyne, with two new members after Furlonger left a few months before. The band soon changed back to its original name and Furlonger was replaced by Nuala Farrelly, who was a member of Sunshyne. Martin announced in 2008 on her own personal '' Myspace'' account that the band had yet again split up but still remained friends and that it would possibly release new material in the near future. Carolyn Owlett
Carolyn Julia Owlett (born 8 March 1984) is a British singer and model. She is a member of R&B group The 411. Career The 411's first single " On My Knees" with Ghostface Killah went to No. 4 in the UK chart whilst the second single " Dumb" reached No. 3 in the UK Chart. A third single, " Teardrops" and an album '' Between the Sheets'' followed but the group disbanded in 2005. At the end of 2005, Owlett was asked, along with bandmate Suzie Furlonger, to sign a separate deal with Polydor Records. She was the face of Amplified clothing in 2008, 2009 and 2010 and made an 'Axe' hair care commercial for the US. As a television presenter, her credits include pieces for Current TV. Her 2008 programme ''Sexy Girls Have It Easy'' had over 40,000 views in the first month, and by October 2010 had the highest ever online views for the channel. Girls Aloud were an pop girl group that was created through the ITV talent show '' Popstars: The Rivals'' in 2002. The group comprised singers Cheryl, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh. "Teardrops" is a song by British R&B group the 411. It was written by band members Suzie Furlonger, Carolyn Owlett, Tisha Martin and Tanya Boniface along with Fitzgerald Scott and Kim Hoglund for their debut studio album '' Between the Sheets'' (2004), while production was helmed by Scott and Hoglund. The song is built around a sample of "Sour Times" (1994) by English trip hop group Portishead, itself a sample of Argentine composer Lalo Schifrin's "Danube Incident" (1967). Due to the inclusion of the sample, Schifrin is also credited as a songwriter. "Weak" is a song by American R&B vocal trio SWV for their debut studio album, '' It's About Time'' (1992). It was written and produced by Brian Alexander Morgan, who composed the lyrics based on a young person falling in love for the first time. Morgan originally wrote the song for Charlie Wilson, but he later decided to give the song to SWV.
