Thayer Munford
Thayer Munford Jr. (born September 18, 1999) is an American football offensive tackle for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Ohio State. Early life and high school Munford grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and initially attended La Salle High School. Before his senior year, he moved to Massillon, Ohio and transferred to Massillon Washington High School who were coached by his former coach at La Salle, Nate Moore. Moore and his wife took legal custody of Munford shortly before his senior year. He was originally ruled ineligible by the Ohio High School Athletic Association after it was ruled that his transfer was a violation of the organization's recruiting rules. The ruling was later reversed and Munford was eligible for the final three games of the season. Tackle is a playing position in gridiron football. Historically, in the one-platoon system prevalent in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, a tackle played on both offense and defense. In the modern system of specialized units, offensive tackle and defensive tackle are separate positions, and the stand-alone term "tackle" refers to the offensive tackle position only. The offensive tackle (OT, T) is a position on the offensive line, left and right. Like other offensive linemen, their job is to block: to physically keep defenders away from the offensive player who has the football and enable him to advance the football and eventually score a touchdown. The 2022 NFL Draft was the 87th edition of the National Football League's annual draft and was held from April 28–30, 2022, at the Caesars Forum on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. The first round was held on Thursday, April 28, and was followed by the second and third rounds on Friday, April 29. The draft concluded with rounds 4–7 on Saturday, April 30. It was the first draft to be held in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. The first five selections were defensive players, the second-most taken at the start of a draft after the six in 1991. Along with the 1972 and 2000 drafts, it marked the third time defensive players were the first two picks after the first three picks in the previous year's draft were quarterbacks. Nicholas Petit-Frere (born September 15, 1999) is an American football offensive tackle for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Ohio State. Early life and high school career Petit-Frere grew up in Tampa, Florida and attended Berkeley Preparatory School, where he played football and basketball. He is of Haitian descent through his father. Petit-Frere was considered a five-star recruit and committed to play college football at Ohio State after considering offers from Alabama and Florida. College career Petit-Frere redshirted his true freshman season. As a redshirt freshman, he played in all 14 of Ohio State's games with one start.
