Thavakkara
Thavakkara is a small area located in the heart of Kannur City of Kerala Kerala ( ; ) is a state on the Malabar Coast of India. It was formed on 1 November 1956, following the passage of the States Reorganisation Act, by combining Malayalam-speaking regions of the erstwhile regions of Cochin, Malabar, South ..., India. There are well known temples, schools, hotels and business firms in Thavakkara. It is located near to Central Railway Station in Kannur. Kannur's Main Municipal Bus Terminal is in Thavakkara.Kannur Metro Bus Terminal
Thavakkara got its name from Thava. Main Attractions are Muttappan Temple, Royal Omars, Friends Club, Malabar Residency, Pepper Pot Restaurant....etc.

Thavakkara Bus Terminal, also called Kannur Central Bus Terminal or Central Bus Terminal Complex, is a bus station in Kannur, Kerala, India. It is located near to Kannur Railway Station. It is also India's first bus terminal to be developed on a build-operate- transfer (BOT) basis. Overview The project is a joint venture of the Kannur Municipal Corporation and the KK Group, being implemented on Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) concept. Most of the floors inside the terminal are marked for commercial purposes, which include central lobby, passengers waiting area and parking facilities.
