The 2008 Thailand League Division 1 has 16 teams. Thailand Division 1 League
Thai League 2 ( th, ไทยลีก 2), commonly known as the T2, formally called Thai Division 1 League, is the second-tier professional league in the Thai football league system. The top 3 are promoted to Thai League 1 at the end of the season, whilst four are relegated to Thai League 3. For the 2008 season, the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) reduced the number of teams in the league to 16 teams. Previously there had been two groups of 12 clubs. For the 2011 season the number of teams was increased to 18 teams, The Thai Division 1 League is a season run from March to October, with teams playing 34 games each totalling 306 games in the season. In 2016, the Khǒr Royal Cup became a trophy for Thai Division 1 League. In 2017 the Football Association of Thailand changed the name to Thai League 2. Nakhon Sawan Football Club ( th, สโมสรฟุตบอลจังหวัดนครสวรรค์) is a Thai semi-professional football club based in Nakhon Sawan province. The club currently plays in the Thai League 4 Northern Region. Nakon Sawan have won the now defunct Provincial League twice in 2001 and 2003. History Nakhon Sawan F.C. was founded in 1999. In the year 2000, the club played in the Thailand Provincial League. The club then succeeded as winning the championship in 2001 and 2003 season. However, the profits were not of great value because the champion of this league was not officially recognized as a champion of Thailand. Police United Football club ( th, สโมสรฟุตบอลเพื่อนตำรวจ) is a Thai defunct football club that was managed by the Royal Thai Police from 1960 to 2008. In 2017, the club merged with BEC Tero Sasana and changed the name to Police Tero F.C. at the beginning of season 2018. History 1960–2009 The club was founded as Police Sports Club in 1960.
