''Thai Cave Rescue'' ( th, ถ้ำหลวง: ภารกิจแห่งความหวัง) is a 6-part limited series produced by Netflix, directed by Kevin Tancharoen and Nattawut Poonpiriya. It was released on September 22, 2022. Premise The series is based on the events of the Tham Luang cave rescue that occurred in Tham Luang-Khun Nam Nang Non National Park during June and July 2018, in which twelve members of the ''Wild Boars'' youth football team and their assistant coach were rescued from the flooded Tham Luang Nang Non cave system. Kevin Tancharoen
Kevin Harwick Tancharoen (born April 23, 1984) is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, dancer, and choreographer. On September 29, 2011, New Line Cinema/Warner Bros. announced that Tancharoen would be helming a big-screen adaptation of ''Mortal Kombat'' after he created the successful web series '' Mortal Kombat: Legacy'', although he dropped out of the project in 2013. Life and career Tancharoen was born in Los Angeles, California. He is the brother of writer and producer Maurissa Tancharoen (and brother-in-law of Jed Whedon) and the son of Tommy Tancharoen. He is known for being a choreographer for Madonna, directing Britney Spears' "The Onyx Hotel Tour" and co-creating ''DanceLife'' on MTV. Craig Challen, is an Australian technical diver and Cave diving, cave explorer. He was the recipient of the Oztek 2009 Diver of the Year award for his services to caving, and was joint winner of the 2019 Australian of the Year. He grew up in the Perth suburb of Thornlie, Western Australia, Thornlie and later on a farming property in Gidgegannup, Western Australia, Gidgegannup; he attended Eastern Hills Senior High School in Mount Helena, Western Australia, Mount Helena, near Gidgegannup.
