''Tha Cum Up'' is the second studio album by American rapper Sylk-E. Fyne. It was released on July 11, 2000, via Rufftown Records. The ten track record featured guest appearances from Nicole Renée, JT Money, Bizzy Bone, Phantom Smoove, Chill, and Snoop Dogg. After her successful debut, ''Raw Sylk'', expectations were high but ''Tha Cum Up'' was a critical and commercial failure, however, the single "Ya Style", featuring Snoop Dogg and Bizzy Bone, made it to #17 on the Hot Rap Singles. Bruce Swedien (; April 19, 1934 – November 16, 2020) was an American recording engineer, mixing engineer and record producer. He was widely known for his work with Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Paul McCartney and Barbra Streisand. Swedien first achieved widespread recognition as engineer with Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons' 1962 single "Big Girls Don't Cry" which sold over one million copies and stayed at number one on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 for five weeks. Swedien won 5 Grammy Awards for Best Engineered Album for his work with Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones. He received 13 additional nominations. ''Raw Sylk'' is the debut studio album by American rapper Sylk-E. Fyne. It was released on March 24, 1998 through RCA Records with Gerald 'Big Yam' Baillergeau and Victor 'Vino' Merritt producing the entire album. The album is best remembered for its lead single " Romeo and Juliet", a duet with William "Chill" Warner. The song peaked at #6 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and #1 on the Hot Rap Singles and reached gold status two months after its release. The album, however, did not match "Romeo and Juliet's" success, only making it to 121 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and 47 on the R&B charts. The album's failure eventually led to RCA dropping Sylk-E. Fyne from the label. Nicole Renée, also sometimes known as Nicole Renée Harris, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer and former ''Teen Summit'' host, who is currently signed to Melodious Fool Records. Her latest single release is "You Don't Have To Buy Me Anything". Previous releases included Nicole Renee (album), a self-titled album on Atlantic Records in 1998. She was signed by Craig Kallman and Ahmet Ertegun. Prior to recording it, Renee wrote more than 200 songs. Renée was trained by Gail Thomas who attended the Juilliard School. Jeffrey Jermaine Thompkins (born September 14, 1972), known by his stage name JT Money, is an American rapper and the leader of Miami-based hip hop group Poison Clan. Thompkins began his career in the late 1980s as a protégé of Luther "Luke" Campbell signing to Luke Records in 1990.
