Texas State Highway Spur 111
Loop 111 is a state-maintained roadway located in Austin, Texas. It is named Airport Boulevard. History Spur 111 was originally assigned on August 27, 1940 from SH 70 in Spur, Texas to the Texas State Experimental Farm. On May 19, 1942, it was modified to start at Loop 21. The route number was changed to FM 836 on November 6, 1948. The western part is now FM 2794. On March 22, 1960, Loop 111 was designated as the ''Austin Loop'', running east of Austin from I-35 down to US 290 and extended further south to US 183 on August 23, 1960. This section of road was redesignated as US 183 on June 10, 1966, causing Loop 111 to move to its current location along Airport Boulevard. The section of Airport Boulevard between I-35 and FM 969 was removed from Loop 111 on May 24, 2007, but the signage in that portion has not been removed (as of September 2010). State Highway 70 (SH 70) is a state highway in Texas. The route runs approximately from US 277 near Blackwell to US 83 south of Perryton. Route description SH 70 begins in far northeastern Coke County at a junction with US 277 north of Bronte. The highway soon crosses into Nolan County, where it serves as the northern terminus of SH 153. The first large city along SH 70's route is Sweetwater; here, the route is concurrent with Interstate 20 and US 84 along the south side of the city, between I-20's Exits #244 and #247, before it resumes its northward course and enters Fisher County. Spur, Texas
Spur is a city in Dickens County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,318 at the 2010 census, up from 1,088 at the 2000 census. A city council resolution passed July 2014 proclaimed Spur the "nation's first tiny house-friendly town." On October 9, 2009, Spur celebrated its centennial with the dedication of a monumental sculpture of a spur, created by local welder John Grusendorf. The event, sponsored by the Dickens County Historical Commission, was held at Dyess Park off Texas State Highway 70. On March 28, 2017, three storm chasers died when one of them, Kelley Williamson of Cassville, Missouri, drove through a stop sign at high speed and struck a car driven by Corbin Jaeger from Peoria, Arizona. Interstate 35 (I-35) in Texas is a major north–south Interstate Highway running from Laredo near the Mexican border to the Red River north of Gainesville where it crosses into Oklahoma. Along its route, it passes through the cities of San Antonio, Austin, and Waco before it splits into two auxiliary routes just north of Hillsboro. I-35E heads northeast where it passes through Dallas. I-35W turns northwest to run through Fort Worth. The two branches meet up in Denton to again form I-35, where it continues to the Oklahoma border. Spur 69 is a short, unsigned, four-lane state-maintained roadway in Austin, Texas. It is in length and is named Koenig Lane . It forms a link between RM 2222 and US 290 at I-35. Spur 69 is signed over its entire length as RM 2222, rather than as Spur 69. Between 1939 and 1945, Spur 69 referred to a short section of what is now SH 12 near Deweyville. Ranch to Market Road 2222 (RM 2222) is a ranch to market road in Travis County, Texas, maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). Route description RM 2222 begins at an intersection with RM 620 in west Austin in the Four Points neighborhood. Northwest of RM 620, the road is called Bullick Hollow Road and continues to the east side of Lake Travis. RM 2222 proceeds southeast from RM 620 for to intersect Loop 360. Robert Mueller Municipal Airport
Robert Mueller Municipal Airport (1930–1999, "Miller") was the first civilian airport built in Austin, Texas, United States. It was replaced as Greater Austin's main airport by the Austin–Bergstrom International Airport, which is located on the site of the former Bergstrom Air Force Base.
