Texas State Highway 352
State Highway 352 (SH 352) is a Texas state highway running from Dallas east through Mesquite before finally ending in Sunnyvale. The route mainly runs along Scyene Rd. The highway was designated on October 6, 1943 from U.S. Highway 80 in Mesquite west to U.S. Highway 175 southeast of Dallas, replacing part of SH 183 when it was relocated to the north, and was extended into Dallas on February 17, 1964 when US 175 was relocated to the west. On June 25, 1991, the section of SH 352 from I-30 to the old route of US 80 was cancelled and removed from the state highway system. Part of State Highway 352 runs in front of the State Fair of Texas, over a stretch named Robert B. Cullum Boulevard. Sunnyvale is a rural, sparsely populated, and very affluent town in Dallas County, Texas, United States. It is the easternmost city completely within Dallas County. The population was 7,893 in 2020. History The town now called Sunnyvale was inhabited by various Native American tribes in the years before the European conquest of the Americas. It came under the rule of Spain in the 18th century, very close to the boundary of Spanish and French territory (although this boundary was carried upward a bit in 1819; see Adams-Onís Treaty). Texas State Highway 183
State Highway 183 (SH 183) is a state highway in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex in Texas. Its most heavily used section is designated Airport Freeway where it serves the southern entrance of Dallas–Fort Worth International Airport. History SH 183 was designated on November 30, 1932 from SH 15 east of Mesquite via Mesquite to Dallas. This highway was SH 15A before March 19, 1930, and this highway was erroneously omitted from the March 19, 1930 highway log. On September 26, 1939, it extended to Fort Worth, replacing a section of SH 15. On October 30, 1939, SH 183 was extended west from US 81 to US 80. On October 6, 1943, SH 183 was extended south from US 80 to US 377, and SH 183 was rerouted east to US 77 northwest of Dallas. State Fair Of Texas
The State Fair of Texas is an annual state fair held in Dallas at historic Fair Park. The fair has taken place every year since 1886 except for varying periods during World War I and World War II as well as 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Fair Park is a recreational and educational complex in Dallas, Texas, United States, located immediately east of downtown. Texas State Highway Loop 12
Loop 12 is a state highway that runs mostly within the city limits of Dallas, Texas. The western segment of the loop is named after General Walton Walker, who served and died in South Korea. During the 1950s and 1960s, Loop 12 was the outer beltway in the Dallas area, having since been supplanted by Interstate 635 (I-635), which is itself being supplanted by the President George Bush Turnpike (SH 190).
