Texas State Highway 123
State Highway 123 is a north–south state highway that extends from Interstate 35 in San Marcos to US 181 in Karnes City. The route was initially proposed in 1927 and has had minimal changes to its routing since then. Route description SH 123 begins at an intersection with US Route 181 just south of Karnes City and proceeds northward along the town's eastern edge. The route intersects the Business Route of US 181 and Texas State Highway 80 as it passes through town. The road continues north through farmlands before reaching an intersection with US Route 87 in Stockdale. The route continues north through ranchlands until Seguin. Reaching Seguin, Texas State Highway 46 begins, peeling off to the northwest toward New Braunfels. San Marcos ( ) is a city and the county seat of Hays County, Texas, United States. The city's limits extend into Caldwell and Guadalupe Counties, as well. New Braunfels National Airport is a public use airport in Guadalupe County, Texas, United States. It is owned by the city of New Braunfels and located four nautical miles (5 mi, 7 km) east of its central business district. Sebastopol Historical Park
Sebastopol House Historic Site is an antebellum Greek Revival house built of concrete, located in Seguin, Texas, United States. Joshua W. Young built it between 1854 and 1856 for his sister, Catherine LeGette. Today Sebastopol is one of some 20 surviving buildings that give Seguin the largest concentration of early 19th century structures in the U.S. As a result of its unusual concrete construction, Sebastopol House was included in the Historic American Buildings Survey (H.A.B.S.) in 1936, made a Registered Texas Historical Landmark in 1964, and then listed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 25, 1970. It is a prime example of the limecrete structures of Seguin. Texas Lutheran University (TLU) is a Private university, private Evangelical Lutheran Church in America university in Seguin, Texas. History The university traces its roots back to 1891, to an academy of the first German Evangelical Lutheran Synod in Texas, in Brenham, Texas, Brenham. Its first president was the Reverend Gottlieb Langner. That school accumulated crushing financial problems, but in 1912, it was rescued by an offer of 15 acres and $20,000 from local businessmen to relocate the academy to Seguin.
