The University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC, UNT Health Science Center, or hsc) is a public academic health science center in Fort Worth, Texas. It is part of the University of North Texas System and was founded in 1970 as the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. UNT Health Science Center consists of five graduate schools with a total enrollment of 2,329 students (2020–21). UNT Health Science Center serves as home to several NIH-funded research programs and currently leads all Texas medical and health science centers in research growth. The Health Science Center also houses laboratories for TECH Fort Worth, a non-profit biochemistry incubator, as well as the Atrium Gallery, a non-profit public art exhibition space which holds 8-10 arts shows each year. Texas Christian University (TCU) is a private research university in Fort Worth, Texas. It was established in 1873 by brothers Addison and Randolph Clark as the Add-Ran Male & Female College. The Institute of Medicine, Suranaree University of Technology () is a medical school in Northeastern Thailand, located in Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. History Following a cabinet meeting on 12 September 1992, it was resolved that due to a lack of medical personnel in Thailand, the medical school universities should increase intake of 340 more medical students for the 1993 academic year. In addition, medical schools should also be set up in regional parts of Thailand and this included an Institute of Medicine at Suranaree University of Technology, approved on 15 December 1993. In January 1995, the university set up a Health Science systems project, consisting of the institutes of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing and a Medical Center. One of the largest freestanding pediatric medical centers in the U.S., Cook Children's main campus is located in Tarrant County. John Peter Smith Hospital (also known as JPS Hospital) is a Level 1 Trauma Center, 573-bed county hospital located in Fort Worth, Texas that provides inpatient, outpatient and behavioral healthcare. About John Peter Smith Hospital is part of the tax-supported JPS Health Network of the Tarrant County Hospital District.
