Tevita Amone
Tevita Amone (born 8 July 1980) is a Tongan former professional rugby league footballer who played for the Western Suburbs Magpies and the North Queensland Cowboys in the National Rugby League, primarily as a . Playing career Born in Tonga, Amone represented New South Wales under-17 in 1997 while playing for the Western Suburbs Magpies SG Ball Cup side. In 1999, he represented the Junior Kiwis. In Round 3 of the 1999 NRL season, he made his NRL debut as an 18-year old in the Magpies' 6–60 defeat by the Penrith Panthers. In the Magpies' final ever season, he played eight games for the club, starting at in their 20–18 Round 7 victory over the South Sydney Rabbitohs. In 2000, he played for the Magpies' NSW Cup, First Division side, spending two and a half seasons with the side. Western Suburbs Magpies
The Western Suburbs Magpies (legal name: Western Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club Ltd) are an Australian rugby league football club based in the western suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales. Formed in 1908, Wests, as they are commonly referred to, were one of the nine foundation clubs of the first New South Wales Rugby League competition in Australia. The club, as a sole entity, departed the top-flight competition in 1999 after forming a 50–50 joint venture with Balmain Tigers to form the Wests Tigers. 2002 NRL Season
The 2002 NRL season was the 95th season of professional rugby league football in Australia and the fifth to be run by the National Rugby League. The season was affected by the competition-leading Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs' salary cap breach finding, which saw them relegated to the bottom of the NRL ladder. As a result, the New Zealand Warriors won their first minor premiership and made it to the grand final for the first time, playing against foundation club the Sydney Roosters who won the match and collected their first premiership in 27 years. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles
The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Sydney's Northern Beaches. The team colours are maroon and white, while their namesake and logo is the sea eagle. They compete in Australia's premier rugby league competition, the National Rugby League (NRL). The club debuted in the 1947 New South Wales Rugby Football League season and currently host the majority of their home games from Brookvale Oval in Brookvale, while training at the New South Wales Academy of Sport in Narrabeen. Manase Fainu (born 17 October 1998) is a former Tonga international rugby league footballer who played as a for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles in the NRL before he was convicted of a violent crime and sentenced to eight years in prison.
