Tevin McDonald
Tevin William McDonald (born July 17, 1992) is an American professional gridiron football safety who is currently a free agent. He played college football at Eastern Washington after leaving the UCLA program. College career McDonald played at UCLA from 2010 to 2013 when he was dismissed by Jim Mora for off-field extracurricular issues. He redshirted as a freshman in 2010, then went on to play in 2011 and 2012 for UCLA. McDonald was named a freshman All-American in 2011. In 2012, he ranked third on the team in tackles with 94. He later played for the Eastern Washington team for the 2013 and 2014 seasons, and finished his senior year with 86 tackles and 7 interceptions. Safety (gridiron Football Position)
Safety is a position in gridiron football on the American football positions#Defense, defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. There are two variations of the position: the free safety and the strong safety. Their duties depend on the defensive scheme. The defensive responsibilities of the safety and cornerback usually involve pass coverage towards the middle and sidelines of the field. While American (11-player) formations generally use two safeties, Canadian (12-player) formations generally have one safety and two Halfback (Canadian football), defensive halfbacks, a position not used in the American game. Tim McDonald
Timothy McDonald (born January 6, 1965) is a former college and professional American football player who was a strong safety in the National Football League (NFL) for thirteen seasons during the 1980s and 1990s. McDonald played college football for the University of Southern California (USC), and was honored as a two-time All-American and two-time team MVP. A second-round pick in the 1987 NFL Draft, McDonald played professionally for the St. Louis/Phoenix Cardinals (1987-1992) and San Francisco 49ers (1993-1999) of the NFL. Upon the conclusion of his playing career, McDonald entered coaching, most recently serving as the defensive backs coach for the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills.
