Background Teurlings Catholic High School was established in 1955 as Father Teurlings High School. Father William J. Teurlings was the pastor who envisioned the school and arranged for the purchase of the property the school sits on. The school opened shortly before his death in 1957. Taylor Brooks Dugas (born December 15, 1989) is an American former professional baseball outfielder and assistant baseball coach at the University of Texas at Arlington. Prior to playing professionally, Dugas played college baseball for the Alabama Crimson Tide, where he set numerous offensive records. Jake Christopher Delhomme (; born January 10, 1975) is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL). Delhomme played college football at Louisiana, then known as the University of Southwestern Louisiana, before being signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent after the 1997 NFL Draft.
