''Tetelestai'' is the seventeenth album in the live praise and worship series of Christian Contemporary music by Diante do Trono. Background The title comes from the Greek word τετέλεσται (''tetelestai'') meaning "it is completed", which according to St. John, is the sayings of Jesus on the cross#John 19:30, next to last word of Jesus on the cross, the last words of Christ on the Cross was, "Father into thy hands I commit my spirit". In the pre-recording of Tetelestai'', the mining group released the ''Tu Reinas'' album, recorded at the Events Park Padre Cícero, in Juazeiro do Norte.'' The album contains 10 songs, all were written by Ana Paula Valadão, 8 new songs and two re-recordings from previous albums. The recording of the album took place in places like the Tower of David, Golgotha, the Garden of the Empty Tomb and the Mount of Olives. The event was thirteen days long. Diante do Trono (; lit.: Before the Throne) is a Brazilian contemporary Christian music band formed in 1997 as a ministry of Lagoinha Church in Belo Horizonte. It is led by singer, songwriter and pastor Ana Paula Valadão. The group became popular in Brazil since the release of their first album in 1998: '' Diante do Trono''. However, it was from the ''Águas Purificadoras'' and '' Preciso de Ti'' albums that it acquired international recognition, becoming the largest worship ministry in Latin America and one of the world's largest ministries of praise, worship and mission. André Machado Valadão (born 16 April 1978) is a Brazilian Christian singer, songwriter, worship pastor and television presenter. Biography He was part of the successful band Diante do Trono, led by his sister Ana Paula Valadão, starting in 1998. Son of the senior pastor of the Lagoinha Baptist Church, Márcio Valadão, André is married to Cassiane Valadão, with whom he has two children, Lorenzo Valadão and Vitório Valadão. André is brother of singers Ana Paula Valadão and Mariana Valadão. Israel Salazar de Luna Freire (born 11 June 1990) is a Brazilian contemporary worship music singer and songwriter. Biography Salazar was born in Rio de Janeiro. Through adolescence in a religious middle Salazar found himself heavily involved with music, and from a local band. Freire became a student of CTMDT, and became a member of Diante do Trono. Juazeiro do Norte is a city in the state of Ceará state in northeastern Brazil. It is located 491 km south of the state capital Fortaleza in the semiarid sertão. The Tower of David ( he, מגדל דוד, Migdál Davíd), also known as the Citadel ( ar, القلعة, al-Qala'a), is an ancient citadel located near the Jaffa Gate entrance to the Old City of Jerusalem. The citadel that stands today dates to the Mamluk and Ottoman periods.
